DESCRIPTION

Avec discrétion et discernement, travailler avec le directeur général principal et les autres directeurs généraux régionaux afin d’élaborer, de mettre en œuvre, de communiquer et de surveiller la stratégie de vente pour la région qui lui est attribuée (Québec et Canada francophone).

PRINCIPALES RESPONSABILITÉS

  • Travailler avec le directeur gĂ©nĂ©ral principal pour diriger, Ă©laborer et mettre en Ĺ“uvre des stratĂ©gies de vente qui cadrent avec la stratĂ©gie de MFS.

  • Surveiller les tendances sectorielles, fournir des conseils sur le dĂ©veloppement des produits de l’entreprise et Ă©laborer une stratĂ©gie Ă  long terme pour la promotion de la gestion de placements de MFS auprès des institutions afin d’atteindre les objectifs de vente. Tenir les clients au courant des produits et des amĂ©liorations au sein de MFS ainsi que des renseignements pertinents sur le secteur et l’évolution des marchĂ©s financiers. Il s’agira notamment de concevoir et de mettre en Ĺ“uvre un plan d’affaires chaque annĂ©e.

  • Établir et maintenir un portefeuille d’occasions dans les stratĂ©gies de titres Ă  revenu fixe, d’actions et d’autres stratĂ©gies de placement de MFS d’institutions dans la rĂ©gion qui lui est attribuĂ©e. Organiser et accueillir des voyages pertinents et appropriĂ©s Ă  l’appui de ces objectifs.

  • Travailler avec d’autres services de MFS pour assurer la conclusion rĂ©ussie des occasions et l’intĂ©gration rapide et efficace des nouveaux clients. En particulier, travailler en Ă©troite collaboration avec l’équipe de gestion des relations et l’équipe du service Ă  la clientèle. Agir comme dĂ©fenseur de MFS auprès de chaque client et contribuer Ă  diriger et Ă  soutenir les efforts visant Ă  fidĂ©liser, Ă  faire croĂ®tre et Ă  diversifier les relations.

  • Tenir les clients au courant des produits et des amĂ©liorations au sein de MFS ainsi que des renseignements pertinents sur le secteur et l’évolution des marchĂ©s financiers.

  • Assumer la responsabilitĂ© de la prĂ©paration des propositions de vente et des documents de prĂ©sentation pour les rencontres avec les clients en assurant la liaison et la coordination avec les parties/services internes, comme l’équipe d’appel d’offres, les gestionnaires de fonds/produits et d’autres Ă©quipes de soutien connexes.

  • Travailler en Ă©troite collaboration avec l’équipe de gestion des relations avec la clientèle pour saisir des occasions de ventes croisĂ©es.

  • Assurer la conformitĂ© Ă  la rĂ©glementation interne de MFS ainsi qu’aux exigences rĂ©glementaires externes. Transmettre les problèmes de conformitĂ© rĂ©glementaire au directeur rĂ©gional de la conformitĂ© conformĂ©ment aux politiques et procĂ©dures Ă©tablies.

  • Se tenir au courant des tendances du secteur et du contexte concurrentiel. Maintenir une tenue de dossiers adĂ©quate sur l’utilisation de MFS C360 pour toutes les activitĂ©s de vente et d’affaires.

  • Travaille en partenariat avec les Ă©quipes de produits de MFS, les gestionnaires de portefeuille institutionnels, les gestionnaires de portefeuille, les gestionnaires de portefeuille adjoints et les analystes de recherche lors des prĂ©sentations aux clients potentiels et aux clients.

  • Travailler en Ă©troite collaboration avec l’équipe mondiale de consultants pour commercialiser les produits institutionnels de MFS, par l’intermĂ©diaire de consultants Ă©tablis au QuĂ©bec, auprès des investisseurs institutionnels appropriĂ©s. Élaborer et coordonner une stratĂ©gie pour la couverture des consultants au niveau de la recherche et du terrain dans la rĂ©gion dĂ©signĂ©e.

  • Travailler en Ă©troite collaboration avec les parties prenantes et les contrĂ´leurs clĂ©s des principales plateformes et responsables de la tenue de registres des rĂ©gimes Ă  cotisations dĂ©terminĂ©es dans la rĂ©gion afin d’établir de solides relations avec les partenaires de distribution, les marques et les nouvelles listes de produits, notamment en aidant les membres de l’équipe de MFS Ă  mettre en Ĺ“uvre des stratĂ©gies de soutien sur le terrain pour les partenaires de distribution.

  • Maintenir un niveau Ă©levĂ© d’expertise avec les produits pour MFS et les autres produits. Rester au fait des nouvelles du secteur, notamment des publications, des confĂ©rences et des sĂ©minaires. Comprendre les enjeux juridiques et rĂ©glementaires et comment les gĂ©rer/les expliquer aux clients.

  • Assumer d’autres responsabilitĂ©s, au besoin.

COMPÉTENCES, QUALIFICATIONS ET EXPÉRIENCE REQUISES

  • BaccalaurĂ©at. Études supĂ©rieures dans un domaine connexe, titre de CFA de prĂ©fĂ©rence.

  • Au moins 8 Ă  12 ans d’expĂ©rience dans un domaine liĂ© aux placements ou dans le secteur des services financiers, dont au moins 5 ans dans des fonctions de relations directes avec les clients.

  • Passion manifeste pour l’établissement et la consolidation des relations avec les clients

  • Une expertise et une bonne connaissance des marchĂ©s boursiers et des titres Ă  revenu fixe mondiaux sont requises.

  • Solides aptitudes pour la communication verbale et Ă©crite et compĂ©tences en prĂ©sentation.

  • Solide comprĂ©hension du contexte institutionnel.

  • Solides antĂ©cĂ©dents en matière de ventes et de prestation d’un service Ă  la clientèle exemplaire.

  • ĂŠtre entièrement bilingue en français et en anglais est une exigence

THE ROLE

Using their discretion and judgement, works with the Senior Managing Director and other regional Managing Directors’ in developing, implementing, communicating and monitoring sales strategy for their assigned region (Quebec and French speaking Canada).

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Works with Senior Managing Director to drive, develop and implement sales strategies, which align with MFS company strategy.

  • Monitors industry trends, advises on company product development and develops a long-term strategy for marketing MFS' investment management to institutions to achieve sales goals. Keeps client informed of products and enhancements within MFS and relevant industry information and developments in financial markets. This will include designing and implementing a business plan every year.

  • Builds and maintains a portfolio of opportunities in MFS fixed income, equity and other investment strategies from institutions within their allocated region. Arranges and hosts relevant and appropriate travel in support of these goals.

  • Works with other MFS departments to ensure successful closing of opportunities and timely and efficient on-boarding of new clients. In particular, works closely with relationship management and client service team. Acts as an advocate for MFS with each client and help lead and support efforts to retain, grow, and diversify relationships.

  • Keeps client informed of products and enhancements within MFS and relevant industry information and developments in financial markets.

  • Responsible for preparing sales proposals and client meeting presentation materials by liaising and coordinating with internal parties/departments, such as RFP team, Fund/Product Managers and other related support teams.

  • Works closely with the Relationship Management Team to pursue cross-selling opportunities.

  • Ensure compliance with internal MFS regulations as well as external regulatory requirements. Escalate regulatory compliance issues in accordance with established policies and procedures to Regional Compliance Officer.

  • Maintain awareness of industry trends and competitive landscape. Maintain proper record keeping on using MFS C360 for all sales and business activities.

  • Partners with the MFS product, institutional portfolio managers, portfolio managers, associate portfolio managers and research analysts when delivering presentations to prospects and clients.

  • Works closely with the global consultant team to market MFS’ institutional products through Quebec-based consultants to appropriate institutional investors. Builds and coordinates strategy for consultant coverage both at the research and field level in assigned region.

  • Works closely with key stakeholders and gatekeepers at major in-region DC Recordkeepers and Platforms to develop strong relationships with distribution partners, brand and new product listings, including assisting MFS team members in the execution of field support strategies for distribution partners.

  • Maintain a high level of product expertise for both MFS and non-MFS products. Stay current on industry news, including industry publications, conferences, and seminars. Understanding of legal and regulatory issues and how to manage/articulate these to clients.

  • Assume additional responsibilities as requested.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • Bachelor's degree. Post-graduate education in a related area and/or CFA preferred.

  • Minimum 8-12 years’ investment-related or financial experience with at least 5 years’ experience in direct client-relationship capacity.

  • Demonstrated passion for developing and nurturing client relationships.

  • Expertise in and good knowledge of global equity and fixed income markets is required.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as presentation skills.

  • Solid understanding of the institutional landscape.

  • A strong track record in sales and delivering exemplary client service.

  • Fully bilingual in French and English is a requirement.

  • Collegiate team player, experienced and comfortable working in an international operating environment.

  • Excellent time management and prioritization skills.

  • Ability to work independently and a self-starter.

  • Strong work ethic.

  • Demonstrate high level of integrity.

PREFERRED SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • Post-graduate education in a related area and/or CFA will be an advantage.

  • A passion for the investment management business with demonstrable knowledge of investment markets and investment management services and thorough understanding of equity and fixed income instruments and investment strategies.

  • Excellent verbal presentation skills and written communication skills required. Strong computer skills with proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
