Security Clearance Required: TS/SCI w/ Polygraph
Salary Range: $200,000-$230,000, depending on experience.
What You Will Do:

The Network Engineer network services from network design through implementation, maintenance, and upgrading of existing networks. Analyzes design, specifications, and related documents. Performs general LAN/CAN/WAN administration. Schedules conversions and cutovers. Coordinates with all responsible users and sites to resolve network or system incidents. Translates business requirements into telecommunications (e.g., LAN, CAN, WAN, Voice and Video) requirements, designs and orders. Performs engineering analysis of telecommunications alternatives in support of strategic modernization efforts and telecommunications enhancement design for medium and large-scale telecommunication infrastructures. Assists telecommunications end users, telecommunications operations personnel, and telecommunications strategic program management with network interfaces.

At first, their primary focus will be to build network diagrams (ToR-down). They will document the current state of: devices, connectivity, policies. They will identify issues or gaps in network configurations/policies. Once they settle in, they will support SDN architecture work. They will provide VMWAre NSX engineering support. Assist with storage and backup engineering and develop early hybrid-cloud architecture options

Our Requirements for this Role:

  • Strong network diagramming and documentation skills
  • An understanding of network policy (e.g ACLs, segmentation, routing)
  • Data-center experience with VMWare NSX
  • Familiarity with storage/backup tools and concept
  • Basic hybrid cloud architecture experience
  • Ten (10) years of professional experience providing Network Engineering support
  • An IAT Level 2 Certification by the start date
  • A Master’s degree in a related discipline from an is required. A Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline and an additional two (2) years of experience providing Network Engineering support may be substituted for the Master's degree.
