Job Description:
- Conducts employment health assessments and screening, annual Tuberculosis (TB) surveillance testing, immunization assessment/administration and other routine screenings and nursing care, ensuring compliance with regulatory agencies and organizational policies.
- Plans, implements, educates and evaluates nursing care using Evidence-Based Practices.
- Utilizes Therapeutic Communication while monitoring the physical, psychological, and social needs of employees and volunteers.
- Engages in the “workplace community” by staying aware of changes, participating in data collection or auditing, understanding Quality Improvement.
- Documents according to department standards, policies, and procedures. Maintains HIPAA compliance of all employee health records.
- Reviews and provides follow up to employee injury events, identifies and communicates employee safety issues and makes recommendations to the Employee Safety team.
- Collaborates with Human Resources and Bureau of Worker’s Compensation Third Party Administrator to ensure accident reports and Workers Compensation claims/records are accurate and timely.
Education Requirement:
Bachelor of Science in Nursing, required.
Licensure Requirement:
Registered Nurse with current Ohio license, required.
Certifications:
Current health care provider CPR certification, required.
Skills:
Critical thinking, analytical ability and clinical skills to evaluate the physical and/or mental condition of the employee to determine the appropriate course of action.
Professional interpersonal skills to provide effective communication and customer service.
Experience:
Two years of adult acute care nursing experience, required.
