About this role
Overview:
MH Clinician providing direct, individual care management services for complex youth using the principles of high fidelity wrap around model of care. Clinical knowledge and skill used through advocacy, providing recommendations, and care coordination. Works closely with leadership, internal partners, external agencies, and other youth systems to reach shared goals and implement treatment recommendations. Provides ongoing support with patient and family before, during, and after acute services.
Valid Ohio driver’s license and proof of auto insurance is required by hospital policy. Must pass a motor vehicle background inspection, insurance eligibility, driving qualifications and training set forth by Nationwide Children’s Hospital and must maintain qualification of insurance guidelines.

- Conducts assessments of patients' mental health needs and develops individualized care plans. Monitors patients' progress and adjusts care plans as needed.
- Coordinates client care with other service providers and collaborates with interdisciplinary team to ensure continuity of care.
- Coordinates available NCH and community resources to enhance client care.
- Provides education to patients, families, and care teams about mental health conditions and treatment options.
- Performs brief therapeutic interventions and counseling.
- Completes clinical charting and other related administrative paperwork in accordance with policy standards.
- Participates in quality improvement initiatives to improve patient outcomes.
Education Requirement:
Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work or Marriage and Family Therapy, required.
Licensure Requirement:
- Appropriate Ohio licensure, required.Must remain current in required licensure and clinical or other training as required.
- Independent license or satisfactory progress toward independent licensure, required.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in order to establish and maintain positive relationships with clients, families, peers and community representatives.
Experience:
Experienceproviding and managing behavioral healthcare to children, adolescent and families, required.
