Homecare Durable Medical Equipment Specialist

Hours: 7:30am-4pm, M-F

Valid Ohio driver’s license and proof of auto insurance is required by hospital policy. Must pass a motor vehicle background inspection, insurance eligibility, driving qualifications and training set forth by Nationwide Children’s Hospital and must maintain qualification of insurance guidelines. • Maintains the inventory levels of supplies and equipment, placing orders and purchasing products as needed.
• Assists with the accurate fulfillment and delivery of ordered products and supplies to patient homes.
• Maintains accurate records of equipment orders, costs, usage, and delivery.
• Assists with the education of patients and caregivers on the proper use and maintenance of medical equipment.
• Performs excellent customer service, answering questions and resolving issues, and assists with the completion of needed administrative tasks.
• Participates in quality and performance improvement activities.

High School Diploma or equivalent, required.

• One year of experience in health care environment, preferred.
• Home Medical Equipment experience, preferred.
