About this role

We’re looking for an Audio Engineer to administer the strength and clarity of the sound for esports broadcasts. 


 


You will be working closely alongside our Broadcasting team to set up and operate equipment that ensures a flawless broadcast within the venue and online streaming platforms.



Responsibilities:


 


  • Install and operate equipment for esports broadcasts, such as audio mixers, audio consoles, intercom systems, audio boxes, broadcasting headsets, belt packs, and wireless audio kits.
  • Cabling and patching of microphones, DIs, and assisting with backline setup if needed.
  • Understanding the definition of desired levels and sound mix and working closely with the other members of the Live Production team.
  • Oversee and operate systems pertaining to audio throughout the entire venue of an event.
  • Maintain equipment to ensure proper functionality.
  • Monitor the quality of all audio signal transmission to maintain consistency and quickly and effectively troubleshoot problems that appear.
  • Conduct functional and operational testing procedures to ensure the quality performance of broadcast products.
  • Interact with 3rd party production crews to ensure a successful show by using strong interpersonal skills.
  • Work with other broadcast technicians to test and integrate new hardware systems.


 


Skills & Requirements:


 


  • Knowledge and proficiency in various analog/digital mixing consoles to mix sound effectively.
  • Proficiency in radio frequency analysis and management tools.
  • Creative problem solver - you can identify real obstacles and find viable solutions.
  • Strong manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination - you can set up and use audio hardware equipment for esports broadcasting.
  • Excellent computer skills.
  • Good understanding of video games and esports - experience in the field is a definite plus.
  • High proficiency in verbal and written English.
  • Flexibility to travel abroad for events and work varying hours, including nights or weekends.
  • This is a full time position in Bucharest. 

 


Nice to have’s:




  • Experience working as an Audio Engineer or similar role.
  • Experience with Yamaha sound consoles/Cedar Audio/Midas
  • Massive plus if you are a former: engineer, streamer, competitive gamer.
  • Willingness to discover, adapt, and lend a hand.
  • Familiarity with PGL tournaments and events.
