About this role

Position Summary:   The Systems Engineer will be responsible for setting up, maintaining, monitoring, and troubleshooting day to day production operations to achieve goals and objectives.  Additionally, this position will be responsible for creating and maintaining a variety of automated processes that improve operations ability to meet client demands.  

 

Responsibilities:

  • A self-starter who delivers high quality work and can adapt to new challenges, either on their own or as part of a team.
  • Analyzing and understand the business processes
  • Design solutions that drive highest levels of automated and accurate outcomes
  • Performs daily production control monitoring, scheduling, and planning of operational jobs and outputs.
  • Ensure daily processing is accurate and meets or exceeds daily performance metrics.
  • Work closely with operational partners to understand support needs and develop opportunities for efficiencies.
  • Create plans for the implementation and deployment of releases. 
  • Communicate to all stakeholders, the documented plans for release deployment to all environments.
  • Track the release deployment progress. Always looking at improvements to the release process.
  • Identify the risks that can delay the release and manage them to eliminate quality issues and ensure accurate deployment.
  • Lead the production deployment activities, working with operational, IT, and client stakeholders, to ensure successful deployment.
  • Work with development to incorporate automations into the product when feasible.

  

Minimum Requirements

 

Industry Experience

  • 2-5 years in healthcare industry experience working in the payer segment in Medicare Advantage, Managed Medicaid, or working with other healthcare service providers.

 

Skills & Knowledge

  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of the software development lifecycle.
  • Previous development experience preferred.
  • Good understanding of application infrastructure.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to work under time constraints. 
  • Strong SQL(DB2) experience, MS Excel, MS Word, Visio.
  • Understanding of database technology.
  • Understanding and experience working in an AIX environment (scripting experience).
  • Exceptional interpersonal, listening, written and oral communication abilities a must.  
  • Proven success working individually and within a team, detail-oriented individual with the proven ability to think logically and innovatively toward problem solving.
  • Experience with job schedule applications such as ROC Maestro a plus.
  • Experience with GoAnywhere MFT a plus.
