Duties and Responsibilities

  • Identification: Screen foster youth electronic case files to identify children who may have potential eligibility for SSA benefit programs.

  • Case Worker Support: Provide expert advice and guidance to case workers on benefit-related matters.

  • Applications: Develop and file applications with the SSA by gathering supporting evidence, completing forms and gathering necessary signatures.

  • Management of Pending Application:  Manage pending applications by tracking their status, providing updated information and facilitating attendance by children who need to attend Consultative Exams requested by SSA.

  • Detailed Tracking: Maintain comprehensive and precise records of all benefit activities and transactions.

  • Training:  Provide periodic training to workers regarding the Social Security program.

  • Liaison:  Act as the primary day to day liaison with client.

Qualifications

Education: An associate degree or 2 years relevant experience

Experience: Human Service or public sector background preferred

Compensation for roles at Public Consulting Group varies depending on a wide array of factors including, but not limited to, the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience.  As required by applicable law, PCG provides a reasonable range of compensation for this role. Salary Range: $55,000 - $65,000
