Summary:

Performs specific patient care procedures (such as basic wound care and catheter maintenance) and tasks under the direction of the primary registered nurse or other licensed clinician. All procedures, duties, and tasks are to be completed under the patients care plan as ordered in conjunction with the physician. Patient care primary setting is in the patient home which can include single family residence, Assisted Living Facilities (ALF), or Nursing Home. Patient level of care can range from skilled Home Healthcare, Palliative, and/or Hospice.

Type of Opportunity: Part time FTE: 0.80 Job Exempt: No Work Shift: Days (United States of America)

Responsibilities:

The Certified Nurse Assistant performs specific patient care procedures (such as basic wound care and catheter maintenance) and tasks under the direction of the primary registered nurse or other licensed clinician. All procedures, duties, and tasks are to be completed under the patients care plan as ordered in conjunction with the physician. Patient care is in the patient home which can include single family residence, Assisted Living Facilities (ALF), or Nursing Home. Patient level of care can range from skilled Home Healthcare, Palliative, and/or Hospice.

This position is eligible for the Northern New Mexico differential of $4.00 per hour. (This differential may be adjusted or discontinued based on business requirements.)

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.

  • 1 year of direct patient care in any clinical setting, or in-home health/hospice is preferred.

  • CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) certification

  • BLS

  • Driver's License
