The purpose of this role is to support the implementation of specific business strategies by contributing to business development and growth through cultivating relationships with designated clients and making informed underwriting decisions to enhance the profitability of the portfolio. Key responsibilities involve generating new business, retaining renewals, and ensuring the overall profitability of a specific designated book of business within our Specialty insurance vertical
Location: Houston, TX
Work Arrangement: This role is hybrid, where you will be expected to be in the office 2-3 days per week.
Salary range for this role is: $88,000.00 - 132,000.00, depending on experience
Your new role
Review, evaluate and price business by applying underwriting judgment and adhering to regulations.
Underwrite new and existing policies in compliance with organizational standards and regulatory requirements.
Identify and minimize risks through due diligence and escalation of issues when necessary.
Comply with legal and regulatory requirements.
Contribute to recording and measurement of insurance risks.
Establish and maintain relationships with producers and customers.
Research and obtain market intelligence to enhance profit goals.
Contribute to special projects and department initiatives.

Tertiary Degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
Compensation Package: The salary range for this role is provided above. This is the national range for location(s) listed. The salary offer will be decided based on the role's complexity, its location, and the candidate’s professional background, including their education and experience. Beyond the base salary, regular full-time and part-time employees will also be eligible for QBE’s annual discretionary bonus plan based on business and individual performance.
