Whiteroom Guide
About this role
Whiteroom has positioned itself as one of the premier guiding operations across Northern Japan. From our multiple areas of operation, we are looking for experienced snow professionals that can show a proven track record of leading groups and working in uncontrolled avalanche terrain. A desire to work alongside a tight team will be required whilst also having the ability to think independently as scenarios change.
Whiteroom’s bases in Hokkaido are located in the world-famous Niseko and the more local setting of Furano. Out of either base a Whiteroom Guide can expect to monitor local weather and snowpack conditions to guide our clients on anything from lift-accessed backcountry days or full days touring alongside possibly guiding any of our multi-day tours.
A Whiteroom Guide will need to combine all the relevant hard skills for the role with a strong customer-focused approach to deliver great experiences both on and off snow.
