Operations Team

Whiteroom was founded with the goal of creating ski and snowboard tours that are fun, adventurous and allow our clients to experience each destination from a local’s perspective. The Role

The Operations Team is a multifaceted role responsible for client and staff transportation, as well as the upkeep and maintenance of our properties and facilities. This job involves performing various maintenance tasks, clearing snow and gomi on a regular basis, responding to maintenance requests, and ensuring the proper functioning and safety of our properties. 

Between these tasks you will run staff shuttles and transfer clients to and from our properties and other destinations as well as helping out in the rental shop when and as required.

Contract Period: November 2026 - March 2027

Key Responsibilities and Duties

• Conduct the regular removal of snow from around Operations Office, Full Note Pension and all staff accommodations to safely and effectively clear snow and manage risk associated with snow/ice
• Run regular shuttles from staff accommodations to/from the Operations Office, Full Note and any other locations as determined by the Area Manager
  
• Conduct regular inspections of our properties to identify snow clearing or maintenance needs and address any issues promptly
• Respond to maintenance requests from occupants and prioritise and schedule repairs accordingly with direction from the Area Manager
• Troubleshoot and repair any equipment as required
• Coordinate with external contractors for specialised repairs, snow clearing or maintenance tasks that are beyond your scope of expertise.
• Adhere to safety protocols and regulations, ensuring a safe working environment for oneself and others
• Work as a team and assist other departments as needed
• For the right candidate  - perform routine maintenance tasks, including but not limited to painting, basic carpentry, plumbing and repairs
• Pick up Whiteroom clients from the Welcome Centre and drop them at tour accommodations. 
• Communicated the Guest Services team and guest requests or issues in a timely manner.
• Assist guests with any rental/retail goods that they require and provide resort information to the guests
  
  

What You'll Need to Succeed

Mainly a contagious love of snow and the shovelling and riding of it! Plus these key things:

• Ability to work independently, think on your feet and problem solve
• Customer service skills
• Punctuality and time management
• Physical stamina and the ability to perform manual labour work outside in the snow and lift heavy objects when required
• Proficiency in using snow clearing equipment, tools and other equipment is a plus but not required
• Experience in general maintenance technician or in a similar role is a plus but not required
• Valid driver's licence with clean record
