Department:
Patient Financial ServicesWorks under the supervision of the Director of Patient Financial Services.Β Investigates complaints.Β Follows up on patient inquires regarding billings while providing courteous patient relations service in a confidential manner.Β Performs other duties as assigned.
- Greets patient and public politely.
- Documents, investigates and resolves patient inquiries regarding billings while providing courteous patient relations service in a confidential manner.
- Enters detailed comments into the computer system.
- Is vigilant of co-memberβs desk when vacant.
- Interprets for non-English speaking patients/public.
- Processes incoming mail.
- Processes appropriate adjustments in a confidential manner with appropriate documentation/signature.
- Interacts with Patient Relations and Administration regarding accounts.
- Receives patient problems from business services staff.
- Maintains records and files account transaction, hard copy and computer system.
- Answers inquiries accurately and courteously.
Education: High school education or GED.
Licensure: None.
Experience: One (1) or more yearsβ experience in medical billing, including medical terminology, computer experience and guest relations.
The hourly rate for this position is $33.27 - $40.03. The range displayed on this job posting reflects the target for new hire salaries for this position.
