The Job:  

As a QA Assistant Manager, you’ll be part of our Quality Assurance team working as a  on-site employee in Gwangju-si, Gyeonggi-do, South Korea, supporting a Tier 1 automotive parts environment with HKMC (Hyundai/Kia) as the primary customer.    You’ll get to:  

  • Manage quality communication with HKMC and suppliers, responding to requests and issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Lead incoming inspection and shipment inspection activities to ensure product conformity and prevent nonconforming product release.
  • Drive customer complaints, claims, and nonconforming product issues through root-cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions, including on-site customer support when required.
  • Drive supplier quality management and improvement activities, including strengthening controls to prevent defects from suppliers and supporting annual supplier quality audits (SQ).
  • Prepare, review, and submit customer-required quality documentation accurately and on time (e.g., PPAP, shipment inspection reports, and periodic inspection/test reports), coordinating customer approval requirements.

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering (preferred) or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).
  • 5+ years of overall quality experience, including 3+ years in the automotive industry.
  • Experience working at an automotive Tier 1 supplier (preferred); Tier 2 experience is also a plus.
  • Strong hands-on experience supporting HKMC (Hyundai/Kia) requirements, systems, and customer interactions (highly preferred).
  • Proven capability in customer and supplier quality processes, including inspections, nonconformance control, and corrective/preventive action execution.
