The Job:  

The External Data Process Manager will lead a dedicated team responsible for managing ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes for external data sources, including point-of-sale (POS) data from key global customer accounts. This role is essential in ensuring that data used by critical business units remains accurate, reliable, and technically stable. In addition to overseeing these processes, the manager will foster a supportive team environment to uphold high standards of operational excellence. You’ll get to:  

  • Manage ETL process of external data to ensure accuracy and reliability:

    • Data acquisition: Collaborate with customer accounts to acquire data on a scheduled basis and verify it is in a usable format.

    • Data Staging: Stage data, resolve load errors, and ensure completeness; coordinate with internal teams to maintain accurate data cleansing and cross-referencing.

    • Data Loading: Load data into analytics and reporting systems, confirming successful integration.

    • Data Monitoring / Quality: Monitor data quality and apply checks to guarantee integrity.

  • Resolve data issues by working directly with internal partners and customers.

  • Drive process improvements by identifying and implementing initiatives such as load timing optimization, enhanced data cleansing, and improved documentation.

  • Perform regular mass validations during critical period ends to ensure data accuracy and consistency.

  • Integrate new accounts as assigned.

  • Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) for external data, collaborating with internal customers from Analytics, Finance, Operations, and Sales.

  • Proactively address conflicting issues, roadblocks, and dependencies; manage risks, changes, and communications with project stakeholders, and adapt to strategic needs as required.

  • Advanced English Level.

  • Postgraduate degree in business.

  • Minimum of 4 years of team management expertise.

  • Minimum 2 years of data management experience, preferable experience with consumer products company.

  • Familiarity with, or ability to quickly learn, key systems: SAP C11, Business WHSE/SAP HANA, and Snowflake.

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with emphasis on Excel.

  • Strong attention to detail, self-reliance, and problem-solving abilities.

  • Effective time management skills, with a proven ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

  • Experience with SQL.

  • Experience with Power BI.
