The College of Humanities, Education and the Arts seeks an adjunct faculty member to teach a graduate level education course, EDU 6526: Survey of Instructional Strategies in fall quarter 2026.
This course examines instructional strategies for promoting student achievement. Covers selection, implementation, and evaluation of strategies, along with determining the impact strategies have on language acquisition and integration of student culture and linguistic background.
Adjunct educators are hired on a contractual, part-time basis, for specified quarters throughout an academic year. Duties include developing syllabi and assignments, teaching classes and assessing student performance.
Requirements:
· Doctoral degree in Teacher Education, or
· Terminal degree in related field, or excellent instructional skills
· A personal commitment to Christian faith, enthusiasm about supporting SPU's mission, alignment with the University's Statement of Faith, and willingness to accept the lifestyle standards of the Christian community.
· A comfortability discussing the intersection of faith and education with students
Compensation: $876 per credit
