Job Title: Data Engineer (Spark, Scala, ETL, AWS)
Job Summary
We are looking for a Data Engineer with experience in building scalable data pipelines using Spark, Scala, and AWS services. The ideal candidate will work on processing large datasets, developing ETL pipelines, and supporting cloud-based data platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop ETL pipelines for data ingestion and processing
- Build and optimize Apache Spark jobs using Scala
- Develop and maintain data workflows on AWS
- Work with structured and unstructured data from multiple sources
- Ensure data quality, performance, and scalability
- Integrate data across systems using APIs and cloud services
- Monitor pipelines and troubleshoot issues
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (data scientists, analysts, product teams)
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field
- Strong experience in Apache Spark and Scala
- Hands-on experience with ETL pipeline development
- Experience with AWS services (S3, EMR, Glue, Lambda, Redshift, etc.)
- Good knowledge of SQL and databases
- Understanding of data warehousing concepts
- Familiarity with version control (Git)
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Big Data tools (Hadoop, Hive, Kafka)
- Knowledge of data orchestration tools (Airflow)
- Experience in real-time/streaming data processing
- Exposure to DevOps and CI/CD pipelines
