Job Purpose:
Under the supervision of the VP of Global Security, the Director of Corporate Security is responsible for the development, implementation, governance, and continuous improvement of the physical security for all EMEA facilities that aligns with the global security strategy. This includes oversight of physical security risk management, distribution center security, executive protection standards, facility security design, supply chain asset protection, fraud prevention controls, and integration of security capabilities with operational technology and software-driven ecosystems.
We are seeking a forward-thinking security leader who brings innovation to corporate security, not simply maintaining the status quo, but continuously elevating it. This individual will operate as a strategic partner to the business, introducing new and finessing existing modern processes, advanced technologies, and scalable tools to transform and mature the security function. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of building and evolving world-class security programs, driving standardisation, and leveraging data and technology to enhance risk mitigation, operational efficiency, and overall organisational resilience.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and lead the regional EMEA physical security vision, strategy, and roadmap aligned to business growth, brand protection, and asset protection objectives.
- Lead physical security operations including facility security programs, access control strategy, intrusion systems, video technology ecosystem, guard force strategy/performance, investigations, executive protection, workplace violence preparedness, and risk intelligence.
- Oversee security standards and design guidance for all new facilities, expansions, software integration suites, and restructuring initiatives.
- Establish and manage supply chain security programs across distribution, warehousing, 3PL operations, high-value material controls, chain of custody, and in-transit theft mitigation.
- Lead internal and external investigations tied to theft, fraud, collusion, cargo crime, intellectual property leakage, insider threat, and employee misconduct in coordination with Legal and HR.
- Manage physical security vendor ecosystem including access control, intrusion alarm and video management system partners, guard services, integrators, and advanced analytics providers.
- Collaborate with Cybersecurity leadership on converged protective architectures, identity management alignment, and zero trust physical-cyber intersection controls.
- Provide physical security risk assessments, metrics, reporting, forecasts, benchmarks, and independent threat intelligence to executive leadership.
- Maintain compliance with required certifications (CTPAT, TAPA, ISO, regional regulatory requirements).
- Develop and manage the enterprise physical security budget, capital investment model, and ROI justification tied to loss avoidance and operational continuity.
- Serve as crisis management advisor and incident response escalation point.
Knowledge Skills and Experience:
- Extensive progressive experience in corporate/physical security, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Experience operating in complex, multi-jurisdictional environments - including large-scale logistics, distribution and warehouse facilities, with direct responsibility for protecting high-value goods in transit and at rest.
- Demonstrated experience leading enterprise-wide, physical security programs, including security operations, risk management, incident response, investigations, workplace violence prevention, executive protection and compliance.
- Proven ability to lead, develop, and manage diverse teams, including internal staff, contractors, and third-party security vendors or system integrators.
- Deep expertise in physical security technologies and systems, including access control, CCTV/video analytics, intrusion detection, visitor management systems, GSOC/control room operations, and integrated security platforms.
- Experience overseeing 24/7 security operations and emergency management programs, including escalation protocols and crisis response.
- Demonstrated experience designing, implementing, and enforcing enterprise security policies, standards, and procedures across multiple sites.
- Strong background in physical security system deployment and lifecycle management, including planning, installation, maintenance, and modernization initiatives.
- Experience managing security projects end-to-end, including cost, schedule, risk, requirements, and quality.
- Proven ability to assess security risks and develop mitigation strategies that balance protection requirements with business operations and workflows.
- Experience managing vendor relationships, contracts, and performance against defined KPIs and service expectations.
- Demonstrated ability to partner cross-functionally with Facilities, HR, Legal, IT, EHS, and business leadership to align security programs with company operations.
- Experience supporting or leading insider threat programs and coordinating with investigations and incident response functions.
- Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making capability, including development of reporting mechanisms and executive-level updates.
- Exceptional judgment, communication, and crisis leadership skills, with the ability to operate effectively under pressure.
- Strong organisational and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders and drive compliance across the organisation.
- Willingness and ability to travel regionally on short notice or globally to support urgent security matters.
- Fluency in written and spoken English required.
- Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice, Security Management, Business Administration or related field required.
- Additional security certifications such as CPP, PSP, PCI, or equivalent are preferred.
