Responsibilities & Qualifications
In This Role, You Will:
Champion Growth: Underwrite and skillfully negotiate large and complex new and renewal workers' compensation policies to drive company written premium goals.
Analyze & Decide: Evaluate applications, reports, account information, and coverage requests—applying company and regulatory guidelines to determine risk acceptability and pricing with confidence and precision.
Negotiate and Win: Document defensible pricing and coverage decisions within your designated letter of authority, balancing profitability with agent and customer satisfaction.
Own Your Portfolio: Operate with independence in managing and developing key agency relationships through field visits, value proposition presentations, top-tier service delivery, and strategic pursuit of business opportunities.
Juggle Priorities: Exhibit superior desk management skills to meet or exceed agency needs and company service standards—delivering quality every time.
Elevate Others: Serve as the underwriting subject-matter expert, providing technical assistance, training, and mentorship to the next generation of underwriters.
Expand Our Reach: Actively network at industry and recruiting events to grow the Texas Mutual brand and cultivate new opportunities.
Your Strengths:

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education, training, or experience.
At least 8 years of related experience or equivalent education, training, or experience.

The base pay range is based on the market evaluation of the job and may include pay for multiple levels. Individual base pay within the range is determined by a variety of factors, including experience, performance, education, and demonstration of skills and competencies required for each role. Your recruiter can discuss the full value of our total compensation package with you, including our generous bonus plans and flex-hybrid work model.
Base Pay Range: $54.20 - $66.95 Per HourFlex-Hybrid Work Environment:
Texas Mutual’s flex-hybrid schedule allows you to bring your best self to work by working remotely and collaborating in the office based on business needs. All Texas Mutual employees are required to have Texas residency and travel to their designated office as needed.
