Job Description:
PRIMARY FUNCTION:
The primary function of a Yard Instructor is to assist in instruction, evaluation, and preparations of new trainees for the over-the-road truck driver positions.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
ā¢ Conduct instruction and hands-on training related to all aspects of commercial over-the-road truck driving that trainees are required to master before being released into their own tractor-trailer unit
ā¢ Constructively evaluate trainees and give feedback
ā¢ Maintain and uphold the TMC Transportation values
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:
ā¢ Ability to communicate and interact with trainees in a learning environment.
ā¢ Must hold and maintain a valid Class āAā Commercial Drivers License (CDL).
ā¢ Excellent driving record.
ā¢ Prior driving experience.
ā¢ Experience backing and operating a tractor-trailer unit in town and confined spaces.
