POSITION SUMMARY:

POSITION ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Provide strategic and day-to-day leadership across all hotel departments, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, brand alignment, and consistent service excellence.
  • Oversee all aspects of the property, including rooms, food and beverage, and events, while fostering a high-performing, accountable, and service-driven culture.
  • Lead and evolve the food and beverage strategy, including restaurant operations, banquets, in-room dining, and events, in close partnership with culinary and F&B leadership.
  • Ensure seamless execution of service standards and SOPs, delivering a refined and consistent luxury experience across all guest touchpoints.
  • Serve as the public face of the hotel, building strong relationships with guests, clients, and the community to enhance reputation and market presence.
  • Drive financial performance through revenue growth, profitability, and disciplined management of budgets, forecasts, labor, and P&L.
  • Identify and execute revenue and value-enhancing opportunities across rooms, food and beverage, and events, including innovative programming and activations.
  • Partner closely with ownership and asset management on financial performance, capital planning, ROI-driven initiatives, and long-term asset positioning.
  • Contribute to broader business planning, underwriting, and strategic decision-making beyond day-to-day operations.
  • Recruit, develop, and mentor leadership talent while promoting a culture of collaboration, accountability, and recognition.
  • Partner with sales, marketing, and PR to drive demand, strengthen brand positioning, and ensure a cohesive, elevated guest experience.
  • Support major capital projects, renovations, and development initiatives, while identifying opportunities to enhance asset value and operational efficiency.
  • Act as a key stakeholder of THG, continuing to develop Hotel Granduca into a premier luxury hotel in the Houston market as well as supporting THG in future growth and development initiatives/opportunities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Business, or related field preferred.

Experience:

  • 10+ years of hotel leadership; 3+ years as a General Manager or Hotel Manager in luxury/upscale environments
  • Strong success in food & beverage operations (restaurant and banquet)
  • Experience in boutique/independent or luxury branded hotels
  • Exposure to hotel openings, renovations, or development initiatives and ownership collaboration required

Technical Skills:

  • Expertise in P&L management, budgeting, labor strategy, and revenue optimization
  • Strong understanding of luxury service standards and operations
  • Proficient in Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel)

Personal Skills:

  • Executive presence with strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams
  • Strategic, hands-on leader with focus on guest experience and operational excellence
  • Service-driven with a passion for hospitality, design, and culture
