Position Overview
Formation Operator assures correct acid level and conduct a visual inspection for cosmetic defects.
Areas of Focus
Formation Operator complies with all safety requirements and proper use of PPE. Additionally, Formation Operator understands & practices the Quality policy day to day.
Responsibilities
Level I
ā¢ Place caps onto batteries according to battery type
ā¢ Perform the proper function of stacking on / off from conveyors
ā¢ Identify all defects prior to filling with acid (1st fill)
ā¢ Analyze the correct direction of the batteries during off bearing. (Understand correct polarity of batteries)
ā¢ Identify the correct cable (jumpers) to be placed on specific types of batteries
ā¢ Demonstrate proper use of table lift during off bearing
ā¢ Ensure correct marking on the battery rack to aid Circuit Tender
ā¢ Display correct use of PPE
ā¢ Perform general housekeeping
ā¢ Meets all quality requirements and standards
ā¢ Meets all production requirements
Basic Qualifications
ā¢ High school diploma or equivalent
ā¢ 6 months ā 1-year machine operator experience
ā¢ Stand-up Lift / Forklift Certification
ā¢ Basic computer skills
ā¢ Read and understand basic English
ā¢ Perform basic math functions (add, subtract, multiply, divide)
ā¢ Experience in an assembly/production environment
