OPS Customer Service Representative Opportunity

Tallahassee State College is excited to announce a part-time opening for the position of Customer Service Representative at the Florida Public Safety Institute. We’re looking for someone who shares our commitment to fostering a vibrant campus community. 

What You’ll Do
As Customer Service Representative, the day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Serve as the first point of contact for visitors, staff, vendors and store customers

  • Be the main point of contact for phone calls and in-person inquiries.

  • Process mail, packages, and deliveries – while maintaining a clean, organized, and welcoming front desk/reception area.

  • Assist with other operations- or store-related projects and tasks as assigned.

  • Varied hours between 7:30 and 5:00; 25 hours weekly

Who We’re Looking For
We’re seeking a candidate who brings not only technical expertise but also a passion for education and student success. Our ideal candidate will have:

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Prior experience in front desk, administrative support, retail, or operations role preferred

  • Strong communication and customer service skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and ability to learn point-of-sale (POS) systems. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to multitask and handle a fast-paced environment. Professional demeanor and appearance.
