Role Summary

You will be required to oversee all aspects of software and product testing within the department of data and analytics. This may include developing test strategies, drawing up test documents, identifying faults and reviewing QA reports. Proficient with agile development processes and best SDLC practices in addition to being an expert in testing.

Extensive experience in analytics, high-level problem solving skills. Deals with diverse and often times complex issues, where analysis may require in-depth evaluation of many factors. Exercise judgment in evaluating methods and may determine criteria for obtaining solutions. May coordinate the activities of other employees.Networks with senior interior and external personnel in area of expertise as well as some key contacts outside area of expertise.

Essential Functions

• Understand product requirements and design.

• Design, develop, and document application test strategies, test plans, and test cases based on software requirements and technical specifications

• Execution of test cases,scenarios and report results.

• Troubleshoot issues and report defects.

• Collaborate with product management to triage defects and conduct product beta testing & showcase with stakeholders.

• Work closely with application development, architecture and infrastructure teams for automation.

• Exposure in performance testing and application analysis initiatives to define success criteria.

• Experience in testing business intelligence/analytics applications on Cloud environments.

• Deliver high quality software through working in a dynamic, team-focused Agile/Scrum environment

• Introduce and enhance non-functional testing capabilities like Security, Performance, Responsive Design, etc.

Skills/technical knowledge

• Solid understanding of testing principles, testing types, and methodologies

• Strong knowledge of SQL and ETL Testing.

• Strong SQL skills - ability to write and interpret complex SQL queries.

• Good understanding or proficiency in any one programming language ( Python or Java )

• Extensive experience in ETL/DW backend testing & BI Intelligence Report testing 

• Hands-on experience in identifying bugs in complex ETL data processing.

• Must have experience working with Test management tools like ALM, Rally, JIRA  etc

• Experience with any scheduling tools, with preference given to those familiar with Cloud Composer (Airflow) or CTM

• Proficiency in GCP, AWS, Azure, or any other cloud platforms .

• Frontend automation using java/selenium or any other tool.

• Familiar with Security Testing.

• Strong comprehension, analytical and problem solving skills.

• Good working experience in Agile methodologies and usage of tools like Rally & JIRA

• Excellent written and verbal communications skills 

Knowledge of below skills is a huge plus:

• Advanced scripting skills in Python

• Expertise in UNIX Shell scripting

• A good understanding of the payment domain

• Understanding of non-functional testing like performance and load testing.

• Basics in AI/ML.

Minimum Qualification

Minimum 6 years of relevant experience.

Software Engineering, Information Systems or other Technical degree; additional experience in lieu of degree will be considered
