General Description/Primary Purpose:
The School of Communication, in UNF's College of Arts and Sciences, is seeking a 9-month, non-tenure earning, Part-time Visiting Professor of Communication. The successful candidate is expected to demonstrate effectiveness in teaching (which includes online course offerings and curriculum improvement initiatives).
The position is 0.5 FTE, equating to just over 6 credit hours per semester. Position responsibilities include teaching one 3-credit hour course in the fall and one 3-credit hour course in the spring, in the School of Communication, and the remaining part of the assignment will be the initial Director of the UNF Public Speaking Center. In that role, the successful candidate will manage the following:
- Goal setting/pilot tutoring/assessment for the public speaking center
- Hire/manage GA/GTA and student tutors
- Identify technology needs
Supervisor: This position will report to the Department Chair.
