Job Title

Compliance Analytics, Monitoring & Reporting Lead

Job Description

Introduction

As part of the Toyota Industries Corporation group, Vanderlande continues to strengthen its approach to governance, risk management, and compliance. Following the integration of Vanderlande Logistics (formerly Siemens Logistics), we are building one global, future‑ready Compliance Management System that reflects our values, supports sustainable growth, and meets increasing regulatory and stakeholder expectations.

This is a unique moment to join our Ethics, Risk & Compliance team. Foundational work is well underway, and we are further strengthening and aligning our global approach to integrity, risk awareness, and responsible business conduct across the organization.

Role purpose

The Compliance Analytics, Monitoring & Reporting Lead is responsible for building and strengthening how Vanderlande measures, monitors, and improves its global Compliance Management System.

The role sits within Vanderlande’s global Ethics, Risk & Compliance team and works across its core compliance areas: Anti‑Corruption, Data Privacy & AI Governance, Competition Law, and Speak‑Up & Investigations. The focus of the role is to ensure, in close collaboration with subject matter experts and regional leads, that the frameworks for these compliance areas are measurable, consistently applied, and continuously improved based on data and real‑world insights.

You will work in an environment where processes and underlying data are still evolving. A key part of your role is to help shape how Vanderlande measures compliance effectively as the program matures – not only to report on established metrics.

You will be at the center of how the Compliance & Ethics function operates in practice. You can contribute greatly by helping translate frameworks into measurable processes, identifying where things do not work as intended, and supporting continuous improvement across regions and functions.

The role reports to the Head of Ethics, Risk & Compliance and is an individual contributor with a strong cross‑functional impact.

Key responsibilities

Defining how we measure compliance in practice

  • Translating compliance processes (e.g., business partner due diligence, Speak-Up case reports, compliance training) into clear, practical KPIs and measurable indicators.

  • Helping the Compliance & Ethics team to establish common definitions and standards across the compliance areas.

  • Ensuring that new or updated compliance policies and instructions include measurable outcomes.

Building practical dashboards and reporting

  • Developing and maintaining simple, clear dashboards that provide insight into compliance performance.

  • Structuring consistent reporting for management, the Risk & Compliance Committee, and Audit Committee. Helping us move away from ad‑hoc reporting to repeatable, structured reporting formats.

  • Ensuring that our compliance reporting is not just information-sharing, but also supports management’s decision‑making.

Monitoring whether compliance processes actually work

  • Coordinating data collection and automation with data owners (e.g. HR’s Workday tool, our whistleblower hotline and case management tool, sanctions screening tool, connecting with the Digital/IT function.

  • Tracking how our compliance processes are applied in practice (e.g. volumes, cycle times, completion rates).

  • Identifying where processes are unclear, not followed, or inconsistently applied.

  • Working with compliance area leads to strengthen implementation and close gaps.

  • Helping us to support the shift from "we have a compliance policy in place" to "the compliance process is actually working in reality".

Performing targeted spot checks and thematic compliance reviews

  • Conducting light‑touch spot checks to validate whether compliance processes and controls are applied as intended.

  • Performing thematic reviews (e.g. compliance training patterns, third‑party due diligence quality).

  • Documenting findings and support practical follow‑up actions.

Turning data into insights and improvement actions

  • Analyzing trends, patterns, and outliers across compliance data.

  • Identifying systemic issues, recurring risks, and improvement opportunities.

  • Translating findings into clear, actionable recommendations and narratives that help stakeholders understand what is happening and where action is needed.

  • Supporting prioritization of initiatives based on data‑driven insights.

Structuring and improving compliance data

  • Mapping available data sources (e.g. Workday, investigation case management tool, screening tools) and ownership.

  • Defining and enforcing standards for relevant data for our compliance framework, and driving continuous improvement in data quality, accessibility, and usability.

  • Supporting improvements in data quality, availability, and transparency.

  • Identifying opportunities for future automation.

Supporting compliance risk assessment and cross-topic insights

  • Providing data, templates, and consolidated views for compliance risk assessments.

  • Developing simple heatmaps and performance overviews.

  • Generating insights across domains (e.g. compliance training statistics vs. compliance incidents, third‑party risk by region).

What do we ask from you?

Education and background

  • Master’s degree or equivalent experience in Business Administration, Economics, Law, Risk Management, Data / Information Management, or a related field, including data analytics, information systems, or other technical / digital disciplines.

  • You do not need to be an expert in, or have deep experience with, the mentioned compliance areas, but we do look for relevant experience or a demonstrated interest in governance, risk, or compliance contexts.

  • A genuine interest in understanding how organizations design and manage processes, controls, and risks, is essential.

Experience

  • Typically 3-7 years of relevant experience in one or more of the following areas:

    • Compliance, Internal Audit, risk management or internal controls environments.

    • Data / analytics roles in a governance or control environment.

    • Digital, IT, or data-focused roles with exposure to structured processes, controls, or performance tracking.

  • Experience working with processes, controls, or performance metrics, rather than purely technical data work, is important.

  • Experience or exposure to specific compliance areas or processes (e.g. third‑party risk, speak-up & investigations, or compliance training) is an advantage, but not required.

  • Experience in coordinating projects, initiatives, or cross-functional workstreams is a plus.

  • Experience in a multinational or matrix organization is preferred.

Skills & capabilities

  • Strong analytical and structured thinking, comfortable working with evolving or imperfect data, and advanced Excel/PowerBI skills.

  • Ability to translate complex topics into clear, practical insights for non‑technical stakeholders.

  • Ability to translate data into clear narratives and meaningful insights, helping stakeholders understand what is really happening and where action is needed.

  • Confident communicator, able to engage and challenge stakeholders constructively.

  • Pragmatic and hands‑on mindset; able to start simple and improve over time.

  • Strong sense of ownership, attention to detail, and ability to work across functions.
