Summary
We're looking for a Sr. Mechanical Engineer to lead the design of complex enclosures and housings for diagnostic medical devices; you’ll touch every part of the development process from concept through to production.Job Description

- Interpret customer requirements, technical specifications, and applicable industry standards to define design inputs and constraints
- Design & prototype complex rugged enclosures and housings
- Participate in multidisciplinary design reviews
- Communicate with international and domestic vendors to ensure designs are optimized for manufacturing & cost (DFM).
- Lead prototype builds
- Facilitate design transfer to our onsite and international production sites
Experience Level with Business Tools
- Proficient in utilizing business tools such as: E-mail, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Experience with SAP or equivalent ERP product and productivity software desired.
- Advanced knowledge of Solidworks, including surfacing techniques
- Advanced knowledge of a variety of manufacturing techniques: injection molding, CNC machining, sheet metal, MIM, 3D printing, composites
- Design of products which balance complex considerations such as thermal, EMI, ingress protection, ergonomics, aesthetics
- A solid understanding of GD&T
- A history of working in multidisciplinary teams
Typical Education and Experience
- B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering
- 5+ years of related experience

- Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) and handle physical exertion, such as long periods of standing, walking, bending, crouching, stretching, reaching, repetitive motion, or similar activities.
- Work environments includes: _machine shop, plus items listed next (exposure to chemicals, electrical current, proximity to moving mechanical parts, repetitive hand motion, open flame, working from heights, cold environment, hot environment, uneven surface, fumes).
