Reporting to the Engineering Manager the Product Compliance Engineer is responsible for ensuring that our integrated industrial systems comply with applicable international regulations, directives, and standards. As a system integrator, we design and build complete technical solutions by combining mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and automation components. You will play a key role in safeguarding regulatory compliance throughout the project lifecycle.

This position is part of Hach Integrated Systems team located in Nazareth, Belgium and will be hybrid

In this role, a typical day will look like:

  • Ensure compliance of systems, parts and assemblies with applicable international and regional regulations
  • Act as a bridge between engineering, procurement, suppliers, Hach Strategic Compliance team and other departments
  • Assess supplier compliance documentation and certificates (DoC, Rohs/Reach,test reports, material certificates; etc.) when creating new articles
  • Communicate with suppliers to obtain the necessary and correct documentation
  • Keep up to date with global regulations

The essential requirements of the job include:  

  • Bachelor or Master in Engineering or a related technical field
  • Experience in product or system compliance within an industrial or engineering environment
  • Solid knowledge of CE conformity assessment for machinery or industrial systems
  • Familiarity with ATEX, PED, IECEx, EMC, and electrical safety standards
  • Good command of technical English (written and spoken)
