CareMore Health is seeking a Clinical Data Analyst Lead to join the analytics team and lead the advancement of clinical analytics that improve quality, outcomes, operational performance, and value-based care. This role combines hands-on technical expertise with analytical leadership, driving the development of scalable reporting, advanced analyses, and data-driven insights that inform clinical and business strategy.
The Clinical Data Analyst Lead partners closely with clinical, operational, and executive stakeholders to translate complex clinical, claims, and operational data into actionable recommendations. This individual serves as a subject matter expert, establishes analytical best practices, mentors other analysts, and leads high-impact initiatives across the organization. The ideal candidate is equally comfortable writing advanced SQL, designing intuitive dashboards and visualizations, communicating complex findings in clear business language, and influencing strategic decisions through data.

Key Responsibilities
Analytics Strategy & Technical Leadership
- Lead the design, execution, and delivery of high-impact clinical analytics initiatives that support quality improvement, population health, operational excellence, and value-based care.
- Serve as a technical leader and subject matter expert for clinical analytics, establishing analytical best practices, standards, and methodologies across the team.
- Guide analytical prioritization and recommend data-driven strategies to clinical, operational, and executive leaders.
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to analysts, promoting knowledge sharing and continuous development.
Data Analysis & Insight Generation
- Design, write, optimize, and maintain complex SQL queries to extract, transform, and analyze large clinical, claims, and operational datasets.
- Lead advanced analyses to identify trends, care variation, performance gaps, and opportunities to improve quality, outcomes, utilization, and financial performance.
- Conduct deep-dive analyses supporting quality programs, chronic disease management, risk adjustment, utilization management, and value-based care initiatives.
- Develop predictive, comparative, and longitudinal analyses that support strategic decision-making.
Reporting & Business Intelligence
- Lead the development and governance of enterprise dashboards, scorecards, and executive reporting using Power BI or similar business intelligence platforms.
- Ensure reporting aligns with organizational priorities, regulatory requirements, and quality programs including HEDIS, CMS Star Ratings, and other value-based performance measures.
- Drive continuous improvement of reporting solutions to enhance automation, usability, scalability, and data integrity.
- Establish reporting standards and promote consistency across markets and business functions.
Strategic Partnership & Clinical Collaboration
- Partner with physicians, clinical leadership, quality teams, operations, and executive stakeholders to translate business needs into analytical solutions.
- Serve as the primary analytics lead on enterprise initiatives, providing strategic insights and recommendations that influence organizational priorities.
- Present analytical findings and recommendations to senior leadership using clear, actionable business language.
- Collaborate across Analytics, Data Engineering, IT, and business teams to ensure timely delivery of trusted data solutions.
Data Governance & Continuous Improvement
- Lead efforts to standardize metrics, definitions, and analytical methodologies across clinical and operational reporting.
- Partner with Data Engineering and IT to improve data quality, data availability, and governance practices.
- Identify opportunities to automate recurring analyses and reporting processes while improving efficiency and scalability.
- Champion data quality, documentation, and analytical best practices across the organization.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Analytics, Statistics, Computer Science, Healthcare Administration, Public Health, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- 7+ years of experience in healthcare analytics, clinical analytics, business intelligence, or related analytical roles.
- Expert-level SQL skills, including complex joins, CTEs, window functions, query optimization, and performance tuning.
- Advanced experience developing dashboards and executive reporting using Power BI, Tableau, or similar visualization platforms.
- Demonstrated ability to lead complex analytical initiatives from requirements gathering through delivery and presentation.
- Experience partnering with clinical, operational, quality, and executive stakeholders to drive data-informed decisions.
- Strong understanding of healthcare data including clinical, claims, provider, and operational data.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and presentation skills.
- Experience mentoring analysts or providing technical leadership on analytical projects.
Preferred
- Master's degree in a quantitative, healthcare, or business-related field.
- 8+ years of healthcare analytics experience supporting payer, provider, or value-based care organizations.
- Deep knowledge of HEDIS, CMS Star Ratings, Risk Adjustment (HCC), quality measurement, and population health analytics.
- Experience with Databricks, Azure, Snowflake, or other cloud-based analytics platforms.
- Knowledge of data modeling, ETL processes, and dimensional data warehouse concepts.
- Experience applying statistical methods, predictive analytics, or machine learning techniques to healthcare datasets.
- Experience leading cross-functional initiatives and influencing organizational strategy through analytics.
