Vitalant is seeking a Laboratory Services Supervisor dedicated to making a positive difference. Your impact as a Laboratory Service Supervisor, is vital. Contribute to Vitalant's life-saving mission by efficiently overseeing and coordinating daily technical operations, providing skilled technical support. Perform blood component processing and labeling and routine testing of biological samples.

Salary Range:  79,851.24 - 105,404.00

As a Laboratory Supervisor, you'll get to

• Supervise, train, and assess the performance of the intake of blood products, product testing, and product labeling.
• Oversee department equipment maintenance program, including preventative maintenance records and vendor scheduling.
• Manage the Product Quality Control program, including completion of product QC record, assessments, reporting, failure investigations and corrective action.
• Investigate deviations in testing, quality control and preventative maintenance.
• Assist in reporting and resolving deviations.
• Conduct required competency observations and complete documentation.
• Provide effective leadership to achieve high levels of service and product quality, financial results to meet company goals.
• Bachelor's degree in a chemical, physical, biological, medical technology or medical laboratory science required.
• Certification as a Medical Technologist by a recognized certifying agency required or CLIA equivalent for moderate or high complexity testing required.
• Certification as a Technologist in blood banking (BB) or Specialist in blood banking (SBB) preferred.
• One year of laboratory experience required.
• Two years of supervisory experience preferred.
