About this role

Wesleyan University’s Department of Psychology invites applications for a one-semester part-time visiting professor of Psychology beginning January 1, 2027, for the spring semester. A Ph.D. in psychology or a related field at the time of appointment is required to be hired at the professor level; an appointment as an instructor is possible for a successful A.B.D. candidate.  The successful candidate will teach one section of Introductory Psychology.  Preference will be given to candidates with undergraduate teaching experience. The Psychology Department currently has 18 full-time faculty members in the areas of neuroscience, psychopathology, cognitive, developmental, cultural, and social psychology. Wesleyan faculty have a strong commitment to scholarship and to undergraduate teaching, and the university offers a variety of resources for professional development including the Center for Pedagogical Innovation and the Office for Faculty Career Development.
