Customer Service/ Vet Nurse Waihi

Are you an experienced Diploma-qualified Vet Nurse looking for a part-time role across two friendly clinics?

This three-day-per-week role includes one day in customer service and reception at Waihi Beach, and two days providing hands-on nursing in Waihi. If you’re confident with clients, organised, and clinically capable, we’d love to hear from you.

Franklin Vets is a growing mixed animal practice committed to making a positive difference for our clients and their animals. We’re looking for a friendly, proactive team member to support our community-focused clinics in Waihi and Waihi Beach.

This is a varied role combining front-of-house support with clinical nursing.

What you’ll be doing:

• Waihi Beach (1 day/week – reception & customer service): welcoming clients, managing bookings, handling enquiries, processing payments, and supporting general admin

• Assisting with stock ordering, receipting, and clinic coordination
• Waihi (2 days/week – veterinary nursing): supporting consults and procedures, preparing clinical areas, and assisting with patient care
• Sterilising equipment, maintaining theatre readiness, and supporting anaesthesia monitoring 
• Monitoring inpatients, administering treatments as directed, and updating records
• Running basic in-house diagnostics and supporting discharges and client education
• Assisting the on-call vet as part of the Saturday morning roster

We’re looking for someone who:

• Is an experienced, Diploma-qualified Veterinary Nurse
• Is confident supporting a busy clinical caseload
• Communicates well and enjoys working with clients
• Can switch between reception and clinical work with ease
• Is reliable, organised, and a strong team player
• Is available three days per week plus a rotating Saturday morning roster
