The Billing and Insurance Coordinator will play a vital role in supporting virology patients at WUID with benefits enrollment assistance, navigation, and education.Job Description
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- Assists virology patients with their enrollment in Medicare, Medicaid, ACA Marketplace plans, sliding fee scale, patient assistance programs.
- Receives and approves Ryan White Program coverage requests and inquiries from ID faculty and staff, as well as other specialty providers.
- Provides ongoing training for faculty, staff and patients regarding billing, insurance, patient assistance, sliding fee scale, etc.
- Distributes information to virology patients regarding their benefits and insurance enrollment, as well as billing.
- Assists with the invoicing process.
- Ensures insurance/benefits are accurately documented for patients in EPIC and the Statewide CM database.
- Works collaboratively with program managers, case managers, and clinical providers to communicate outcomes of benefit navigation.
- Completes regular documentation in SCOUT and statewide database and Epic EHR regarding benefits related services and outcomes.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

$52,600.00 - $78,900.00 / AnnuallyThe salary range reflects base salaries paid for positions in a given job grade across the University.
