The worst bottleneck? Cost estimates. Takeoffs are still done by hand — estimators spend days measuring and counting materials from drawings. It’s tedious, slow, and one error can cost millions.

Bobyard automates construction takeoff with AI.

We use CV + NLP to read drawings like an expert estimator, but 10x faster with less mistakes. We’re turning the most painful part of pre-construction into software.

We’re a lean, elite team backed by Primary and Pear. Most of the work — and upside — is still ahead. We’re building next-gen software for the built world.

Position Overview

• Interface is everything at Bobyard. We’re selling the most sophisticated tool our customers will ever touch. Your job: make complexity feel inevitable.

• You’ll work directly within the product team to define how our platform looks, feels, and wins. You will:

• Live in customer workflows: Sit with estimators and PMs. Know their job, their clicks, their frustrations better than they do.

• Shape product vision: Turn user pain into product truth. Decide what we build and why it matters.

• Create, iterate, and validate new products: Own 0 → 1. Prototype fast, test with users, kill what doesn’t work.

• Execute with engineering: No handoffs. You’re in Figma and in the weeds with front-end. You ship.

• Communicate vision with marketing & sales: Make the product story crisp. Give GTM a weapon they can sell.

• Revamp current platform: Raise the bar. We need craft, speed, and taste — not another clunky enterprise tool.

• Taste and expertise: Killer portfolio. You’ve done real user research and shipped products people love.

• Learning speed & resourcefulness: No construction experience? You’ll be dangerous in 30 days. You figure it out.

• Passion and work ethic: This isn’t a cushy design job at Google. We’re at war with legacy software. You want that.

• Organized operator: 1000 requests from 100s of customers. You turn chaos into clarity and ship what matters.

• Tools: Figma fluency. You know HTML/CSS. You can talk to engineers and earn their respect.
