What We're Looking For:

The Product Management team drives the development of product definition and planning to optimize the company's products and solutions. The team applies broad knowledge of company's product and solutions capabilities as well as the competitive environment to identify new growth areas, new technology and emerging product opportunities. Oversees the analysis and evaluation of key market statistics and customer requirements to define product strategies and identify product opportunities to expand market share. The Product Management team also evaluates in-depth market analysis and leads business case development for optimization of existing products and solutions alternatives and/or to create the next generation of new products. Collaborates with research, development, and engineering architecture teams to create foundational platform ecosystems and validate early product definitions. This role is both strategic, highly technical, and hands-on in nature, requiring meaningful industry experience.
As a Senior Product Manager, Platform, you will be responsible for a comprehensive enterprise platform ecosystem's contribution to the overall business unit. This includes increasing the profitability of existing foundational services to developing new, unified cross-application platform capabilities. You will build products from existing ideas, and help to develop new ideas based on your industry experience and your contact with enterprise IT customers, admins, and internal development teams.

• The position has hands-on responsibility for the strategic growth and tactical execution of an assigned enterprise platform ecosystem. This encompasses owning the lifecycle for core platform pillars: comprehensive Identity & Access Management (IAM), Device Administration, a Central Admin Center for unified tenant and license management, and a robust Integrations & Orchestrations engine (connectors, IFTTT workflows, and centralized data hubs). You will act as a deep subject matter expert and individual contributor driving these foundational services.
• This position is responsible for ensuring the ongoing review of the competitive environment for enterprise SaaS platforms. This is accomplished through analysis of competitive integrated ecosystems, identity suites, AI-driven data hubs, and automation tools, and the information thus gained is published and/or presented on a regular basis.
• The Senior Product Manager, Platform ensures that the organization works with Product Marketing and Marketing Communications in developing platform promotion programs. Product Management is responsible for insuring that positioning and factual content are correct, and that timing for release of promotional materials fits with the product launch schedule. In addition, overarching platform positioning and complex SaaS pricing strategies are owned and managed by this role.
• Platform and Service Life Cycle Management.
• Work closely with cloud operations and engineering to properly manage: cloud infrastructure usage, API connector reliability, system orchestration limits, service level agreements (SLAs), and cross-application issue resolution.
• Champion Internal & External Developer Experience (DX): Act as the product owner for both internal application squads and external partner developers building on our platform. Define standards for API consistency, developer portals, SDKs, and technical documentation to reduce time-to-integration across the entire developer ecosystem.
• Drive Third-Party Ecosystem Growth: Collaborate with partners and external developers to understand integration needs. Use these insights to build robust, secure public APIs and extensibility points that allow external systems to seamlessly integrate with our application suite.
• Enforce Security & Compliance at Scale: Partner closely with Security, Legal, and Compliance teams to ensure all platform capabilities (specifically IAM and the centralized data hub) adhere to strict global data privacy regulations and security standards (including SOC 2, ISO 27001, GDPR, and HIPAA).
• Establish Platform KPIs & Success Metrics: Define, monitor, and report on core platform health and adoption metrics—such as internal API adoption rates, system latency, developer Net Promoter Score (NPS), and platform cost-to-serve (COGS).
• Manage the migration of legacy, standalone applications into a Unified One App experience, ensuring all underlying applications can be seamlessly deployed and administered from a single central Admin Center.
• Drive the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and machine learning capabilities into the platform's orchestration layer and centralized data hub to automate workflows and deliver intelligent insights to end-users.
• Manage platform-related communications to both internal stakeholders (such as downstream application product owners integrating into the platform) and external enterprise associates.
• The Senior Product Manager, Platform actively supports the Sales organization as required in select sales presentations, proposals and opportunities, particularly when pitching the value of a unified data, AI, and application suite. Responsible for competitive analysis, as represented in developed presentation materials including detailed metrics and analysis to support business cases.
• The Senior Product Manager, Platform works closely with internal stakeholders throughout the development process in negotiating design trade-offs that may be needed, while preserving the requirements stated in the market requirements document (MRD). Crucially, this requires driving strategic alignment, defining integration standards, and acting as the foundational layer for all underlying applications, influencing roadmaps and resolving conflicts without direct reporting authority. Internal stakeholders include but not limited to product marketing, end users, channel partners, sales, engineering, architecture, and support organizations.
• Translate Strategy to Agile Execution: Own the platform product backlog. Translate the broad platform vision into high-quality technical requirements, epics, and user stories, actively participating in sprint planning and backlog grooming within an Agile/Scrum framework.
• Travel as needed to visit customers, partners, attend seminars, trade shows or meet area sales personnel.

Key Skills and Competencies:

• Excellent interpersonal skills with strong ability to interact with enterprise IT Administrators, developers, and platform users.
• Strong communication skills including written, verbal and oral presentation skills as well as ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from senior management, cross-functional product leaders, clients and customers.
• Ability to assess complex platform landscapes and create focused, integrated technical product plans that bring disparate applications into a single, cohesive ecosystem.
• Attention to detail, and a strong, hands-on understanding of complex enterprise architectures, unified data hubs, AI integrations, and centralized tenant data isolation at scale.
• Strong grasp of SaaS platform economics and FinOps principles, with the proven ability to manage cloud compute COGS, balance predictable licensing with consumption-based pricing, and drive overall platform ROI.
• Multi-task and manage complex, foundational infrastructure and integration programs.
• Deep, hands-on technical expertise in Identity & Access Management (IAM), encompassing AuthN/AuthZ, Privileged Identity Management, and modern federation protocols (OAuth 2.0, SAML, OIDC).
• Proven experience building and scaling a Centralized Admin Center that seamlessly handles tenant, site, and license management across an entire suite of underlying applications.
• Strong background in Integrations & Orchestrations, including API connectors, visual workflow automation, and centralized data/document hubs.
• Familiarity with Device Administration Services and the technical nuances of delivering a "Unified One App" experience to end-users.
• Highly creative with ability to think strategically and develop scalable architectural and business plans.
• The successful candidate will be a hands-on self-starter; this individual must be adaptable, persuasive, tenacious and perceptive, able to execute a well-developed plan and navigate ambiguity.
• Strong planning and execution skills, specifically in driving cross-product integrations and reducing time-to-integration for internal teams.
• Dual-Facing Developer Mindset: Deep appreciation for both Internal Developer Experience (IDX) and External Developer Experience (EDX), with a track record of building tools, public APIs, developer portals, or SDKs that both internal squads and external partners love to use.
• Ecosystem & API Productization: Strong understanding of how to productize APIs for external consumption, including managing API versioning, deprecation lifecycles, developer onboarding, and rate-limiting/throttling policies.
• Governance & Compliance Literacy: Strong working knowledge of global security and compliance frameworks (e.g., SOC 2, GDPR, HIPAA) as they relate to multi-tenant SaaS architectures and data isolation.
• Data-Driven Decision Making: Ability to define and track platform-specific health metrics (e.g., uptime, API performance, latency) and business metrics (e.g., adoption velocity, developer NPS) to guide roadmap prioritization.
• AI-Powered Rapid Prototyping: Hands-on ability to accelerate product discovery by independently building functional proofs-of-concept and prototypes using modern AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Claude, Lovable, Cursor).
• Advanced AI Paradigms: Familiarity with tokenless prototyping and utilizing local AI agents to securely and efficiently validate technical concepts and architectural models.
• Lean Market Validation: Proven track record of performing quick, iterative market validations and hypothesis testing with internal engineering squads, external partners, and enterprise customers to de-risk platform investments before full-scale development.
• Agile Execution & Jira Mastery: Exceptional technical writing skills with the ability to seamlessly translate complex, unified platform architectures into clear, actionable Jira epics and detailed user stories for engineering teams.
• Ability to travel.

Preferred Work Experience (years):

• 12+ years' experience, including at least 3+ years specifically managing B2B SaaS platforms, APIs, or shared platform ecosystems.
