About this role

CSI Sands (N.E.) provides a full range of aggregate and resource materials production services. We are equipped to handle every phase of the materials engineering process, from initial exploration to delivery of the end-product.

 

Currently CSI Sands (N.E.) is looking to fill the position of Operator (Plant). Under the direction of the Supervisor and/or Shift Lead, the Operator (Plant) is required to follow all safety and operating procedures. The Operators (Plant) must be comfortable working with computers and able to effectively apply critical thinking to all aspect of the position.


Key areas of responsibility


Duties may include, but not limited to:

  • Operate scale and perform related functions.
  • Manual labor duties including cleaning site. 
  • Follow all safety procedures to ensure a safe work environment.
  • Ensure trucks are loaded to the correct weight to ensure compliance with DOT regulations.
  • Ensure equipment is running correctly and troubleshoot any mechanical issues.
  • Follow direction of shift lead and/or supervisor.
  • Communicate effectively with coworkers and management.

 

Qualifications:

  • Must have a valid Driver's License and reliable transportation to worksite.
  • Familiar with MSHA and/or OSHA procedures and policies.
  • Experience working in an industrial environment preferred.
  • Heavy Equipment operation experience is highly desired.
  • Use of hand tools and different construction equipment is considered an asset.
  • Previous experience silo loading onto trailers.
  • Mechanical aptitude is a plus.

 

Working Conditions

  • Physically fit and able to perform manual labor tasks, including shoveling and lifting to 50 lbs.
  • Be able to stand/work for majority of shift.
  • Exposure to outside weather conditions frequently.

  • 6 p.m. – 6 a.m.


Potential growth opportunities available once scale operations are established.  Also, eligible for applicable shift premiums.
