Multimedia Designer/Producer
About this role
About Preface
Preface is a knowledge content and tech-enabling platform company with the mission to enable learners with up-trend tech knowledge and skills anytime, anywhere, and in any format. We have been living and breathing by the motto “there isn’t a thing that cannot be learnt.” With the vision to increase the overall tech literacy of the world, Preface is known to provide market-leading education solutions to fulfil the ever-changing learning and customised-development needs of learners and corporates worldwide.
About the Role
We are looking for a versatile Multimedia Designer/Producer to join our Product - Experience team.
You are a hybrid creative and project manager with business sense who seamlessly bridges digital design, physical environments, events and hands-on production. You will work closely with senior stakeholders to translate the Preface brand across a wide range of touchpoints from website interfaces and digital campaigns to printed materials, events and physical learning spaces.
This role is ideal for a multidisciplinary creative who doesn't mind rolling up their sleeves for hands-on production, and who values high-growth opportunities within a fast-paced, scaling startup.
What You’ll Be Doing
Experiential & Spatial Design
- Event Production: Conceptualise, design, and execute end-to-end event experiences including corporate workshops, product launches, brand activations, and community gatherings.
- Spatial Storytelling: Design and transform physical learning environments, training rooms, and event spaces that reflect the Preface brand identity and enhance learner engagement.
- Campaign Integration: Ensure events and spaces are seamlessly woven into broader marketing campaigns, creating cohesive narratives across digital and physical channels.
Campaign Marketing & Production
- Cross-Channel Execution: Lead the creative production of campaign assets across digital (social media, email, web) and offline (print collateral, signage, merchandise) touchpoints.
- Brand Activation: Develop campaign concepts that bring the Preface brand to life through memorable, shareable physical experiences.
- Content Coordination: Partner with marketing teams to ensure event and space design aligns with campaign messaging, timelines, and KPIs.
Vendor & Project Management
- Production Oversight: Act as the primary producer for physical assets and event builds. Coordinate directly with external vendors, fabricators, printers, and venues to manage budgets, review proofs, and ensure flawless execution.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work directly with senior stakeholders, including department heads and leadership, to translate high-level creative briefs into actionable, tangible deliverables.
- Timeline & Delivery: Own the end-to-end lifecycle of creative requests from initial concept through final installation ensuring projects move swiftly without bottlenecks.
Modern & Efficient Workflows
- Hands-On Creation: Take pride in the craft of production, from building presentation decks to formatting print-ready files and reviewing material samples.
- Tools: Leverage modern design and AI tools to accelerate production without compromising quality. You stay curious about emerging technologies that enhance creative output.
Requirements
- Multidisciplinary Portfolio: Proven experience in a hybrid design and production role. Your portfolio showcases a strong mix of digital design (web, UI, social), print production, and environmental/spatial execution.
- The "Startup" Mindset: You thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. You are highly adaptable, self-motivated, and comfortable navigating ambiguity to get things done.
- Hands-On & Strategic: You are just as comfortable discussing high-level brand strategy with senior stakeholders as you are diving into the deep to resize assets or review physical material samples.
- Technical Proficiency: Mastery of industry-standard design software, Figma, Adobe Creative Suite and Canva. A working knowledge of modern AI design tools is a plus, but not a replacement for fundamental design skills.
- Production Know-How: Understanding of print production techniques, color spaces (CMYK vs. RGB), bleed/crop marks, material selection, and scaling digital art for large-format physical spaces.
- Language: Professional fluency in English is required, Cantonese or Japanese a bonus.
What We Offer
- High-Growth Opportunity: A chance to take ownership of diverse creative projects and grow alongside a rapidly scaling, global tech-education brand.
- Tech Up-skilling: Access our full suite of AI and tech courses to keep your own creative and technical skills at the bleeding edge.
- Global Exposure: Collaborate with a dynamic team across London, Tokyo, Hong Kong, and Singapore.
- Hybrid Flexibility: Work from our HQ space in Causeway Bay Hong Kong
- Direct Impact: Play a highly visible role in shaping how thousands of learners and executives experience the Preface brand, both online and in the real world.
