Primary Responsibilities
- Collaborate with engineers and analysts to translate concepts and design intent into detailed CAD models and manufacturing-ready drawings
- Create CAD models and detailed drawings of parts and complex assemblies in SolidWorks
- Develop clear, accurate engineering drawings that support fabrication, assembly, and inspection
- Follow company product definition standards and revision control procedures
- Submit, peer review, and release drawings through ReLogic Research’s document control system
- Support prototype builds, integration, and installation activities to ensure hardware is assembled and implemented as intended
- Coordinate with engineering and technical teams to resolve design and documentation issues
Required Qualifications
- Active Secret security clearance or ability to obtain and maintain a clearance
- 5+ years of experience in mechanical design, drafting, or related technical work
- Strong proficiency in SolidWorks modeling and drawing creation
- Experience creating manufacturing-ready drawings and mechanical assemblies
- Working knowledge of GD&T and mechanical drawing standards
- Experience with revision control/document management systems (SolidWorks PDM preferred)
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate degree, technical certification, or equivalent professional experience in mechanical design, drafting, or a related field
- Experience with SolidWorks Product Data Management (PDM)
- Familiarity with ASME Y14.100, Engineering Product Definition and Related Documentation Practices
- Experience supporting hardware integration, prototyping, or installation activities
- Experience in aerospace, defense, manufacturing, or other highly regulated industries
This is a full-time salaried position with highly competitive compensation based on experience and skills, comprehensive benefits, and opportunities for career growth. Approximately 10% travel is expected.
