Position Overview

As Head of Department, you will set the strategic direction for Digital Engineering across Ireland - shaping how we deliver BIM, CAD, reality capture, and advanced digital engineering and construction workflows. You’ll champion technical excellence, drive commercial growth, and lead a talented team working on landmark infrastructure and construction projects.

What You Will Do

 Strategic Leadership 

• Define and deliver the Digital Engineering strategy in partnership with senior leadership. 

• Lead innovation in digital workflows, software, and emerging technologies. 

• Own the department's financial performance and contribute to longterm business growth. 

Client & Commercial Growth 

• Build strong relationships with key clients and partners. 

• Identify new opportunities and shape compelling solutions and proposals. 

• Lead tendering, negotiation, and pricing strategies. 

Team Leadership & Culture 

• Lead, mentor, and grow a highperforming technical team. 

• Drive continuous improvement, knowledgesharing, and operational excellence. 

• Support recruitment, development, and talent strategy within the department. 

Quality, Safety & Delivery Excellence 

• Promote best practice digital workflows across the business. 

• Ensure quality, compliance, and safety standards are met and continuously improved. 

• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless delivery across all projects. 

What You Will Bring

• A strong background in BIM, digital delivery, geospatial, civil engineering, or architecture. 

• Deep technical understanding of digital construction and engineering workflows. 

• Experience leading digital or technical teams and influencing multi‑disciplinary stakeholders. 

• Proven ability to coordinate innovation roadmaps, implement digital workflows, and champion best‑practice standards. 

• Commercial awareness with experience contributing to bids, proposals, or business development.
