As the Accounts Payable Manager, you will be responsible for managing the operational and fiscal activities of the Accounts Payable department. Position will develop systems and procedures to improve the operating quality and efficiency of the department. Developing and executing strategies that drive compliance and quality within the department.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Responsible for activities and operations in the accounts payable function for the organization.
Analyzes invoices and expense reports for accuracy and eligibility for payment.
Ensures proper coding of invoices to the appropriate expense or balance sheet account.
Prepares and processes payments in accordance with internal accounting policies by verifying transaction information, scheduling and preparing disbursements.
Prepares accounts payable register and related reports in a timely manner.
Maintains and reconciles accounts payable ledger.
Responds to vendor inquiries and resolves any discrepancies in billings and payments.
Oversees all account and expense discrepancies from investigating to resolution.
Follows internal accounting controls to maintains financial security.
Files accounting documents and preserves financial historical records according to retention and destruction policies.
Planning, assigning and directing work for direct reports.
Setting reasonable stretch performance goals, providing constructive, balanced, regular performance feedback, and conducting annual performance appraisals.
Other duties as assigned to ensure accounts payable are processed appropriately.
Demonstrates competency in the performance of job-related skills appropriate to his/her customer populations and departmental services while providing excellent customer service.
Utilizes and operates equipment and mechanical devices which provide for a functional, effective, and safe environment.
Adheres to policies, procedures, guidelines relative to departmental operations
Strong verbal, written, and listening communication skills to include communicating clearly, effectively, tactfully, and patiently with internal and external customers
Meticulous attention to details with minimal errors while adhering to pre-established quality standards
Effective interpersonal skills and demeanor with the ability to build rapport and garner trust with others
Effective organization and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work in high-pressure situations
Proficient in the use of a PC in a Windows environment; in the use of the Internet; and in the use of MS Office Applications such as Outlook, Word and Excel, as well as various accounting software programs

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year College or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience:
Minimum of five years’ previous experience and two years of supervisor experience.
Healthcare industry, multi-unit experience (preferred)
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: This position may require duties including lifting and carrying up to 40 pounds, sitting for prolonged periods of time, with frequent standing and walking.
DRESS ATTIRE: Business Casual or scrubs dependent on department
