About this role

We're looking for a Social Media & Content Creation Intern to join us from June/July 2026!


Internship Terms: 

  • Minimum 4 months internship duration  
  • Unpaid internship 
  • Candidate must be eligible to work in Malta 

 

Internship Description: 

A unique opportunity to gain real-world experience with a global leader in international education. This internship is ideal for a creative, detail-oriented individual looking to develop their skills in digital marketing and content creation within an international and dynamic setting. 

As part of the EC Head Office Marketing Team, you will help grow our social media presence through fresh, student-centered content and gain exposure to strategy, branding, and analytics. You’ll also have the opportunity to appear on camera, develop your personal creative voice, and contribute to campaigns viewed by a global audience. 

Your internship will be based in sunny Malta, a Mediterranean paradise, where you’ll collaborate closely with our in-house team and international schools. You’ll receive an
EC Certificate of Completion upon completion, proving your experience in a competitive, global industry as well as leave with countless new skills and experience in Marketing! 

 

Key Learning Tasks: 

  • Assist in planning, filming, and editing engaging content for EC’s social media platforms, including TikTok, Instagram, and LinkedIn 
  • Act as on-screen talent for student interviews, school tours, and educational videos 
  • Support in creating written content such as captions, social copy, and blog articles 
  • Help schedule and publish posts using content calendars and social media tools 
  • Monitor social media channels and contribute to community management 
  • Conduct basic research to support content strategy (e.g., trends, competitor content, hashtags) 
  • Collaborate with students and staff across EC centres to showcase authentic student experiences 
  • Contribute to internal projects such as brand campaigns or video series 
  • Support photo and video shoots on location at EC Malta and during excursions (as available) 

 

Experience Required: 

  • Familiarity with TikTok, Instagram, and other social media platforms 
  • Passion for storytelling and digital media 
  • Comfortable being filmed and speaking in front of the camera 
  • Excellent written and spoken English 
  • Detail-oriented, proactive, and organised 

 

Experience Desired: 

  • Previous experience in content creation (even as a hobby or student project) 
  • Experience working in multicultural or international environments 
  • Interest in language learning, travel, or education
