Clancy Construction is currently seeking experienced General Operatives to join our site team in Cork. . 

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to work on a live construction site, supporting day-to-day operations and contributing to the successful delivery of projects in line with Clancy’s high standards of quality, safety and professionalism. 



Location

This is a Site based role in the Cork area.


Reporting to 

The Site Manager.


As a General Operative, you will play an important role in maintaining a safe, tidy and efficient site environment while representing Clancy Construction in a professional manner at all times.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out general site duties as directed by the Site Manager
  • Undertake a variety of construction-related tasks including (but not limited to):
    • Carpentry
    • Block-laying
    • Site cleaning and housekeeping
    • Site welfare upkeep and maintenance
    • Unloading and handling materials
  • Work in accordance with the Clancy Integrated Management System (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001)
  • Actively engage with site safety initiatives and promote a strong safety culture
  • Identify potential safety issues and work collaboratively with the site team to resolve them
  • Represent Clancy Construction professionally and uphold the company’s core Values at all times

 

Requirements

Experience

  • Previous construction experience in Ireland.

Knowledge

  • Basic knowledge of site safety requirements

Qualifications

  • Essential: Safe Pass, Manual Handling
  • Desirable: Working at Height, Abrasive Wheel, Scaffolding, Teleporter Operator

Skills & Abilities

  • Ability to use hand-held and mechanically aided tools
  • Strong attention to detail and safety awareness
  • Good verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team
  • Physical ability to carry out site-based tasks
