Job Summary:

Centurion Construction Management is seeking an experienced and driven Superintendent to lead on-site operations for commercial construction projects. This role is responsible for ensuring safety, quality, and schedule adherence while maintaining strong collaboration with project managers, subcontractors, and clients. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in commercial construction, a deep understanding of jobsite supervision, and the ability to lead field teams with integrity and precision. This position plays a key role in delivering high-quality results that reflect Centurion’s values of diligence, innovation, and transparency.


Role Expectations:

  • Supervise on-site construction activities to ensure safety, quality, and productivity.
  • Enforce OSHA and company safety standards through active oversight of on-site activities.
  • Collaborate with the Project Manager to develop and manage schedules, ensuring project deadlines are met on time and within budget.
  • Interpret drawings and specifications to ensure all work meets quality standards and aligns with the defined scopes of work.
  • Maintain accurate daily reports, progress logs, and site photos.
  • Conduct regular coordination meetings with subcontractors and vendors.
  • Represent the company with integrity, mentor subordinates, and foster strong relationships with clients and trade partners.


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs):

  • Ability to develop, update, and communicate construction schedules aligned with project deadlines, project requirements, and budget constraints.
  • Proven experience supervising subcontractors and field personnel to maintain safety, quality, productivity, and adherence to scope.
  • Skilled in reading and applying project drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and contract documents to guide on-site execution.
  • Ability to maintain thorough and timely jobsite records including daily reports, progress photos, and project logs.
  • In-depth understanding of OSHA standards and jobsite safety protocols, with the ability to lead safety initiatives and enforce compliance.
  • Experience implementing quality assurance programs, minimizing rework, resolving field challenges quickly, and managing project risks proactively.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to lead meetings, resolve issues, and coordinate efficiently with clients and vendors.
  • Working knowledge and skill in cast-in-place concrete, rough and finish carpentry, door hardware, drywall, finishing, painting, and interior/exterior installations.
  • Familiarity with site development, steel and wood framing, plumbing, mechanical, and electrical scopes of work.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Project.
  • Ability to lift 50+ pounds.


Qualifications:

  • 10 years in the commercial construction industry with a minimum of 5 years in the position of construction superintendent.
