THE ROLE OVERVIEW
We are looking for skilled Restaurant Service Associates to join our team at Hotel La Neige Restaurant. In this role, you will provide outstanding customer service, maintain a spotless and organized environment, and ensure a memorable dining experience for our guests. The ideal candidate should possess excellent interpersonal skills, a welcoming demeanor, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic setting. You may also assist with food service, coffee preparation, cocktail making, and other related tasks.

SERVICE ASSOCIATE DUTIES
- Food Service: Assist with serving food, clearing tables, and collaborating with kitchen staff. Demonstrate knowledge of menu items and make recommendations to guests.
- Customer Service: Provide warm, efficient, and attentive service to customers. Engage with patrons, understand their preferences, and address their needs courteously.
- Beverage Service: Mix and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. Maintain comprehensive knowledge of cocktail recipes, garnishing techniques, and present drinks professionally.
- Coffee Preparation: Prepare various coffee beverages, including espresso, cappuccinos, and lattes. Be familiar with different brewing techniques, coffee flavor profiles, and handle coffee equipment with precision.
- Cash Handling: Process payment transactions with accuracy and efficiency.
- Cleanliness and Hygiene: Follow strict sanitation practices, maintain immaculate and organized work areas, sanitize utensils, and adhere to health and safety regulations.
- Teamwork: Collaborate seamlessly with servers, kitchen staff, and management to ensure smooth operations and remarkable customer services.
REQUIREMENTS
- Legal right to live and work in Japan (typically via a Working Holiday Visa)
- Experience as a barista, bartender, host, or server preferred
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Willingness to work flexible hours, evenings, mornings, weekends, and holidays, as per the requirements of the establishment
- Ability to handle a fast-paced and dynamic work environment and to stand for long periods, lift heavy objects and handle the physical demands of the job
- Proficiency with POS systems and cash handling
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and handle physical demands
- Strong work ethic and a team first mentality
- English and Japanese fluency
- Driving license and International Driving Permit

SERVICE ASSOCIATE STAFF SHIFTS
Floor Staff are expected to work up to 40 hours per week in flexible shifts that can extend until 10pm to accommodate the restaurant's operating hours. Some venues stay open until 2am. Shifts may also include morning shifts starting at 7am for breakfast service, as well as afternoon and Happy Hour shifts.
ACCOMMODATION
HHG provides staff accommodation in central Hakuba (mainly in Happo Village, Wadano, and Kamishiro). Options include shared or private rooms depending on your role.
