Learning Scope

As an AI Design Systems Engineer Intern, you will support the development of “Mint,” our Global Design System. This internship is a great opportunity for students or aspiring front-end/design talents who are interested in the intersection of design, code, and AI.

You will gain hands-on experience in organizing and maintaining design systems, exploring AI and automation tools, and helping bridge the gap between design and development. The role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with Figma, frontend technologies, and modern UI workflows in a collaborative environment.

How will this help you grow

Support the “Mint” Design System by organizing and maintaining Figma components using features like Auto Layout and Variables

• Figma Architecture: Manage the "Mint" Design System using advanced Figma features like Variables and Auto Layout with a developer’s mindset.
• AI Documentation: Write clear, structured guidelines (design.md) that help both humans and AI models understand how to use components correctly.
• AI Research: Experiment with MCP (Model Context Protocol) and AI tools like Cursor or Claude to automate design-to-code workflows.
• Design-to-Code Sync: Ensure Figma components match production code, focusing on Design Tokens and modern UI libraries like Tailwind CSS and shadcn/ui.

• Currently a 3rd or 4th year student pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Figma Lover: Comfortable with Figma, focus on organized layers and reusable component systems.
• Front-end Basics: Solid understanding of HTML, CSS, and Tailwind CSS. Familiarity with shadcn/ui or similar component libraries is a plus.
• System Thinker: Ability to think in patterns and logic, ensuring the design system is scalable and easy for developers to use.
• Tech-Curious: Interested in AI tools and modern web development trends.
• Problem Solver: Capable of researching new technologies and finding efficient ways to bridge the gap between design and code.
• Fluent in English: Good command of English for writing documentation and communicating with the team.

Internship Period: 4-6 months
