Job Title: Housing Assistant
JOB DESCRIPTION
Housing Assistant plays a critical role in ensuring the wellbeing of staff in our shared staff accommodations. We are looking for someone who can take ownership and accountability for staff accommodation from setting up at the beginning of the season to closing at the end of the season.
Reporting to Housing team, your primary role will be the day-to-day monitoring of staff accommodation arrivals and checkout. Ensuring that everything runs smoothly from front steps being cleared from snow, small maintenance, general cleanliness of the house and public spaces in the house, and making sure basic supplies are always available. Previous experience in a similar role will be an added advantage.
JOB OVERVIEW/RESPONSIBILITIES
Resident Support & Rules Compliance
- Coordinate with the Housing team and House Captains to ensure house rules are followed throughout the season
- Act as the first point of contact for resident concerns, conflicts, and requests, conduct initial fact-finding, and escalate to the Housing Manager as needed.
Move-in / Move-out Operations
- Prepare rooms and confirm overall readiness of staff accommodation for tenant check-in
- Support staff arrivals and departures, including pick-up and drop-off arrangements
- Ensure beds and required equipment are properly set up and configured
Inventory & Supplies
- Manage, replenish, and distribute housing supplies, including daily necessities and bed linens.
Cleanliness & Living Environment
- Conduct monthly house inspections to ensure the living environment remains clean and tidy, and report findings to the Housing team.
- Ensure rubbish separation and disposal rules are correctly followed.
Maintenance & Safety
- Handle basic maintenance tasks as needed (e.g., changing light bulbs, cleaning heater exhausts and filters, minor repairs to doors and beds, etc.)
- Conduct weekly checks of heating systems and overall safety in all staff accommodations
- Verify that walkways remain clear and passable, and ensure that the areas around heater ventilation outlets and kerosene tanks have been properly cleared of snow.
- Conduct on-site inspections and record findings for issues reported by House Captains, and report the details to the Housing Manager.
Administration
- Manage and distribute employees’ mail and packages
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Housing team.
REQUIREMENTS

- Experience
- Basic understanding of seasonal employment and shared living environments (e.g. staff accommodation, dormitories, shared housing)
- Education and Qualification
- Valid working visa in Japan
- Valid Driver’s License (Japanese, international, or foreign driver’s license with an official Japanese Translation)
- Skills
- Ability to perform light physical work and basic maintenance tasks
- Ability to manage multiple tasks such as inspections, inventory control, and move-in/move-out support
- Language Skills
- Business Level or above in English
- Competencies
- Strong sense of responsibility and ownership over staff accommodation operations
- Ability to conduct on-site checks accurately and report issues clearly
- Team-oriented mindset with the ability to work closely with the Housing team, House Captains, and HR.
- Flexibility and adaptability to meet the demands of seasonal operations
【Preferred】
- Experience
- Previous experience in staff accommodation or employee housing management
- Experience working in winter conditions (e.g. snow clearing, heating checks)
- Education and Qualification
- Any certification related to facilities management, safety, or maintenance is an advantage
- Skills
- Basic repair and maintenance skills
- Ability to coordinate with vendors, house captains, and internal teams
- Language Skills
- Conversational or above in Japanese
- Competencies
- Calm and proactive approach to problem-solving
- Positive attitude toward working in a multicultural staff environment
Employment Terms and Condition
Contract Period & Renewal
- Contract Period: 10/1/2026 to 3/31/2027
- Contract renewal: Applicable

Duty, Work Location & Scope of Changes
- Duty: may be changed as determined by the company
- Work Location: Kutchan Office
- Scope of changes: work location may be changed as determined by the company (Training may be conducted at other location)
Commuting & Workplace policy
- Private Vehicle Commuting: Not permitted
- Measures to prevent passive smoking: indoor smoking prohibited
Working hours, Days off & Overtime
- Working hours / Shift schedule: 09:00 to 18:00
- Days off: two days off per week (based on shift schedule)
- Overtime: Yes
- Monthly Average Overtime Hours: 10 hours per month
- 36-Article Agreement (overtime): Applicable (Due to seasonal factors and a high concentration of orders from general customers, periods of increased workload are expected)
Salary Package / Benefit
- Salary: 1,550 yen / per hour ~
