Job Title: Ski Valet Concierge

JOB DESCRIPTION

As a Ski Valet Concierge, you will be the key person ensuring a seamless and stress-free ski experience for our guests. From equipment handling to personalized recommendations, you will deliver exceptional service that enhances every guest’s stay.

JOB OVERVIEW/RESPONSIBILITIES

Guest Service

• Welcome guests warmly and assist them in preparing for the slopes
• Provide personalized, high-touch service, including VIP-level support
• Respond to guest inquiries about the resort and ski area

Equipment Handling & Management

• Transport, store, and manage skis, snowboards, and boots
• Maintain a safe, clean, and well-organized ski valet area
• Inspect and prepare equipment to ensure optimal condition

Guest Comfort & Safety

• Assist guests with boot fitting and comfort adjustments
• Ensure guest safety and readiness for skiing or snowboarding
• Protect equipment through proper handling and security control

Local Knowledge & Advice

• Provide updates on weather and slope conditions
• Recommend runs, après-ski spots, and local hidden gems
• Offer tailored advice based on guest preferences and conditions

Operations Support

• Coordinate timely gear transfers to and from the slopes
• Maintain efficient operations during peak times
• Work collaboratively with team members to ensure smooth service

Training and support will be provided to help you succeed in the role.

REQUIREMENTS

【Must】

• Experience
  • Experience in hospitality, tourism, resort operations, or customer service
    • Motivated candidates without direct experience may be considered
  • Comfortable working outdoors and in cold winter conditions
• Education and Qualification
  • Valid working visa in Japan
    
• Skills
  • Ability to safely handle ski and snowboard equipment as required for the role
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Ability to stay positive and efficient in a fast-paced environment
• Language Skills
  • Business level or above in English
• Competencies
  • Passion for winter sports and outdoor activities
  • Strong guest-focused mindset with a proactive attitude
  • Team-oriented and collaborative work style
  • High attention to detail, especially regarding equipment care and safety
  • Friendly, polite, and professional attitude toward guests and colleagues

【Preferred】

• Experience
  • Experience at ski resorts, ski valet services, or rental shops
  • Experience working in international or luxury resort environments
    
• Education and Qualification
  
  • Ski or snowboard-related certifications
  • Valid Driver’s License (Japanese, international, or foreign driver’s license with an official Japanese Translation)
• Skills
  • Knowledge of ski and snowboard equipment, handling, and storage
  • Ability to provide resort and slope recommendations with confidence
    
• Language Skills
  • Conversational level or above in Japanese
• Competencies
  • Positive, flexible, and proactive approach to work

Employment Terms and Condition

Contract Period & Renewal

• Contract Period: 11/16/2026 - 3/31/2027
• Contract renewal: Applicable
• Reason of Renewal: 
  • Employee’s work performance and attitude.
  • Company’s business demands.

Duty, Work Location & Scope of Changes

• Duty: may be changed as determined by the company
• Initial Work Location: one of the company’s properties in Niseko Area, Hokkaido
• Scope of changes: company properties in Niseko Area, Rusutsu or Furano.
  • Training may be conducted at other location.
  • Employees may be required to work at different properties based on operational needs.
    
  • The initial assignment will be determined by the company.

Commuting & Workplace policy

• Private Vehicle Commuting: Not permitted
• Measures to prevent passive smoking: indoor smoking prohibited

Working hours, Days off & Overtime

• Working hours / Shift schedule: Up to 8 hours between 06:00 to 22:00
• Days off: two days off per week (based on shift schedule)
• Overtime: Yes
• Monthly Average Overtime Hours: 10 hours per month
• 36-Article Agreement (overtime): Applicable (Due to seasonal factors and a high concentration of orders from general customers, periods of increased workload are expected)

Salary Package / Benefit

• Salary: 1,500 yen / per hour
• Subsidized Ski Pass on your location or Recreational Allowance
