We're looking for a Data Engineer / Analyst to help us maintain and improve our data infrastructure and pipelines. Youโ€™ll work closely with both technical and business teams to ensure clean, reliable data flows across our systems โ€” supporting everything from analytics to product development.

As a Data Engineer/Analyst, you will be responsible for maintaining and improving data infrastructure, integrations, and processing pipelines. This role involves managing source data domains, optimizing retention policies, and ensuring data health across various systems. The Data Engineer collaborates with infrastructure teams and business stakeholders to facilitate seamless data flow and accessibility for analytics and reporting.

๐Ÿ’ป Job Description:

  • Manage and optimize source data domains, ensuring data integrity and consistency across different systems. This includes structured and unstructured data from key operational sources, business processes, and telemetry systems.

  • Actively communicate with relevant teams:

    • Collaborate with infrastructure teams to maintain data availability and reliability.

    • Provide internal stakeholders with necessary data insights and support.

  • Optimize data integration processes:

    • Implement and enforce retention policies.

    • Verify data is stored efficiently and securely.

    • Improve pipeline performance and data formatting.

    • Ensure efficient use of computing resources.

  • Maintain and enhance the current data infrastructure:

    • Manage and optimize PostgreSQL databases, Airbyte, Airflow, dbt and associated configurations.

    • Support and refine existing data solutions incrementally.

  • Ensure system reliability and uptime:

    • Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines.

    • Utilize workflow automation tools to maintain data processes.

    • Identify and resolve infrastructure issues (e.g., database outages, pipeline failures).

  • Gradually improve the data environment while considering modern data warehouse principles:

    • Develop solutions aligned with industry best practices without over-engineering.

    • Enhance data accessibility for stakeholders while ensuring efficiency.

๐Ÿ”Ž We are looking for someone with:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in data engineering, database management, or a related field.

  • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).

  • Strong knowledge of SQL and database management.

  • Experience with data pipeline tools such as Airbyte, Airflow, dbt.

  • Proficiency in at least one programming language, python preferred

  • Experience managing PostgreSQL databases and CI/CD pipelines.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

  • Experience in the Bitcoin mining industry is a plus.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with BI tools such as Tableau or Power BI.

  • Knowledge of distributed computing and big data technologies.

  • Understanding of DevOps principles and infrastructure monitoring.

  • Experience with Kafka or similar data streaming platforms
