Our valued client, Ignition Marine, is seeking an experienced Marine Technician or Senior Marine Technician (title dependent on experience) who refuses to cut corners. WHAT YOU WILL DO:

You are the hands and eyes of the company. You deliver the technical execution that keeps the fleet on the water.

• Technical Execution: Diagnose, service, and repair diesel and gas marine engines (MAN, Cummins, Volvo, Mercury) and onboard systems (hydraulics, electrical) with zero-error precision.
• Operational Adaptability: Thrive in a dynamic environment. You must be comfortable working in tight engine rooms, crawling into confined spaces, and operating in cold or hot weather conditions.
• Digital Reporting: Maintain rigorous documentation. You will submit daily reports with photos and videos for every task, ensuring 100% quality control.
• Issue Rectification: Approach every job with a problem-solving mindset. You don't just "do the job for a living"; you enjoy the challenge of rectifying complex issues that others can't fix.
• Asset Care: Treat every vessel with "white-glove" respect, ensuring work areas remain pristine and tools are returned to their proper place daily.

THE EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, AND COMPETENCIES YOU BRING:

You are a mechanic who loves the trade. You understand that one loose screw can cost thousands, and you take pride in getting it right the first time.

• Non-Negotiable Industry Experience: Proven experience servicing yachts is a must. You understand the unique demands of luxury vessels.
• Technical Mastery: Deep knowledge of marine engines and systems. Certifications in MAN, Mercury, Yamaha, Volvo, or Cummins are a significant asset.
• Digital Proficiency: You must be comfortable using tablets and mobile software to track time and submit daily technical reports.
• Work Ethic & Passion: You possess a genuine passion for mechanics and troubleshooting. You are self-motivated and can launch into productive work.
• You are patient, respectful, and capable of working collaboratively in a diverse team environment.
• A valid driver’s license is a requirement.
