Overview of the Role
The People & Culture Consultant is a key member of the Pivot team and reports to a Principal Consultant.


In this role, you will work closely with leaders across a variety of organizations and industries, providing support across the entire employee lifecycle. From employee relations, performance management, and policy development to recruitment, compensation and strategic HR initiatives, you will deliver practical and impactful HR solutions tailored to each clients needs.

What You'll Do 

You will partner closely with clients and colleagues to provide practical HR support, including:

  • Serving as a trusted HR advisor to leaders across multiple industries
  • Advising leaders on day-to-day HR issues and employment legislation
  • Supporting client recruitment processes from job posting to interviews and reference checks
  • Developing and reviewing HR policies, procedures and employee manuals
  • Collaborating with the Pivot team on projects and initiatives that support our growing client base


Qualifications
We're looking for someone with a strong foundation in HR generalist practice, specifically:

  • Degree or Diploma in Human Resources
  • Minimum 3 years of progressive HR generalist experience
  • Strong knowledge of employment legislation including the Employment Standards Act, Human Rights Code, and WorkSafeBC policies
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced consulting environment
  • Collaborative, personable and highly accountable
  • Comfortable stepping into complex and sensitive workplace situations
